For a top rated course I was a quite a bit underwhelmed. Tee pads need maintenance, signage was illegible or falling apart water crossings were a joke. Hole one you had to hop to a broken cinder block to get across. Others crossings used a board that wasn’t really safe with out testing it first. Some really fun holes and a bunch I won’t remember. Overall pass and play two rounds of lions

Was very excited to finally make my way to the property. Was met by a very friendly person who told me about the whole property. I decided to play the Lair course and it was very fun. Was apprehensive at first but after hole 1, I knew I was in for a treat. Majestic vista views of the lake through the forest. With ospreys diving for their lunch, ducks foraging through the muck, and deer roaming through the forest. I was happy to have made just under par, I’m not the best nor the worst. Would definitely go again and play the Lions course
@rgmartin
Really great course, lots of walking between some of the holes. Keypads are decent. Lots of fun quite the workout. It is cart “accessible” but not cart friendly.
@emmanuele
Great advanced course for people who don't have the skill or endurance to play lions.
@saucertosser21
Beautiful little course. Very scoreable in comparison to lions. Cool lines and beautiful views. Tee signs are not the greatest. Perfect for a cool down or warm up round
@martindewgarita
Incredible property, great design, beautiful course, well worth the drive.
@borser1
Beautiful course with great scenery and really good shot variety. It is easy to tell why it is so highly rated. Lake views and trees, entire course is very hilly. Tee pads were nice with turf covering and baskets were nice. Signs at each hole and some good wayfinding signs. I only wish it was kept up a bit more some paths are getting overgrown and signs are so dirty they are hard to read. A couple holes are way wrong compared to the app and shorter tee boxes don’t have signs. Loved the course if it was better kept it would be an easy 5 star.
@bigjava
Best course in Virginia!
@cntbg23
Tough wooded golf with some beautiful back drops on some of the greens.
@chewintobacco
Very fun and challenging course.
@brotherbill
This course is very challenging, and extremely well designed and maintained, signage is great, Great baskets and potty houses available. Glad to be back:)
@proflowery
Beautiful course, great shot variety only thing keeping it from a 5 is the UDisc layout is off on many holes
@grahamgolfs
Always a wonderful time.
@johnbabineau
Awesome course. Don’t bring a cart.
@mully7
Not at all what it’s namesake would have you believe. Shouldn’t be best in Virginia.
@peffind
Absolutely awesome. Worth the drive from Richmond. Fairways are tough but fair, well manicured, will pay to have accuracy + distance. Shorter holes are not gimmies at all. To score on this course you will need to know your discs very well, and have distance, accuracy, and touch. 100% worth the money to play
@elgobo
Only 5 star I have played. Challenging. Little bit of everything for all shot types. Great signage and easy to follow trails. You can see the baskets from almost every tee box. Came early on a Saturday and had the place to myself.
@scottguy03
Amazing
