@brodycannon
Brace yourself for a hike. Every single hole is wooded and only some of them have a “fair” line. Lots of blind tee shots and poke-n-prays. Giving it a higher rating than it probably deserves because I played well.
@kevinpdonahoe
Enjoyed this course! Lots of fun in the woods! Based on other comments, I was worried about the rough and it was totally fine. No issues. All you need to worry about are the trees on every. single. hole. Challenging and great hike through the woods with solid signage. Not a five because some of the lines were pretty silly and not as many amenities as other courses on the property (bathrooms and drinking water). And it was a pretty long haul from the 18th tee to the club house. Great add on if you come for red or gold.
@jdblue
Really tough but very rewarding if you’re hitting gaps. They continue to clear fairways and work the gaps into the right balance of challenging and open.
@nolantyler
No true lines on a lot of holes, lots of poke and pray. Not the quality I’d expected for a 30$ day pass
@malumnothis
Trees & elevation changes. Real Disc Golf. Not some small balls golf course for players afraid of foliage. The best Kayak has to offer.
@derekchessik
Favorite course I’ve ever played. And it just keeps on getting better. Accuracy and power are recommended. Not a beginner course.
@phillyp81
Benches around tee areas would be a welcome sight after some of those walks
@wallysnowbird
A beast of a course, but fun. More fun than the gold course. Lots of trees on every hole.
@gofarandfast
Lots of trees and elevation change. Bring a spotter. Great challenge to play. Makes those good throws even better.
@taylorgerber
The course is well designed and has alot of potential to be one of the best in the state. Some clean up and seasoned play will take it to the next level. It's pretty brutal if your comparing to par playing as an AM, but just take it as it is a great track.
@tgrady18
This is tough technical woods golf at its finest. Some lines could still use a little cleaning up and the rough and piles of sticks can be tricky to locate discs in. Really needs a few benches. As a course, this would place is crazy fun. Prepare for a serious hike.
@repugnant
A very tough course. For me it played significantly harder than Yellow. If you like hard wooded courses this is for you. Keep in mind that the course is new and can be rough in the rough. Expect to hit a lot of trees and loose some discs.
@mbarringer74673
Amazing course! Course is playing great right now, and I imagine it will keep improving over time. Best course at kayak!
@gbutch24
The rough is very rough. The course is beautiful but there are a few holes where a fair line does not exist off the tee and those holes keep this course from being the best course at Kayak.
@timservo
Most of the reviews I saw were guy only 13 holes. All 18 were in when I played it. Long and tough, lots of elevation and difficult footing. The 3hr estimate is accurate, especially factoring in looking for discs and the long walkout. Definitely do not play this course solo if you value keeping your sanity or your discs. Still a lot of debris piles that will eventually need to be cleaned out, will be interesting to see how this course develops, it's definitely intense as is. I'd like to see shorter tees and/or shorter pin positions at some point. Glad to see a wooded course on the property, but would like to have a more casual experience available.

UPDATE: All the holes are in now, and it's still a favorite. Expect more hiking - there are long gaps to walk from 12-13, 14-15, and 16-17. And after 18 there's still quite a walk up to the clubhouse. Might as well throw Gold 15-18, or some subset of those while you're headed that way. Workers have made great strides in clearing out the fairways, but you need to watch your discs. And watch for stringing nettles - long pants are a good idea. On this day: 5/2/24 we covered 4 miles on Blue, with 560 feet of elevation gain. No discs lost. It seems silly to review a course when only 13 holes are complete, but I've thrown Blue 22 times so far, and even in this incomplete stage is a favorite. Kayak Point has Red and Gold if you're looking for long, open fairways. Blue is for masochists who crave the sound of plastic hitting wood. I didn't think I was that depraved, but... Best played with friends/spotters, but you can still throw it solo if you don't mind tramping around uphill and down, looking under ferns & bushes. Workers, paid and volunteer, have done a tremendous job clearing brush & branches, but there are still many big piles of those same branches, often difficult to walk across while searching off the fairway. Come to Blue to test yourself. Even at only 13 holes, so far, I score higher over par than I do on the pro-level Gold. Highly recommended to anyone who's tied of easy, open, level shots.
@discrabbit
I think this will evolve into the best course at Kayak. Unrelenting, the one that will expose weaknesses that may be masked on the open courses.
@shawnglassford
Brutality. Use spotters. Some fun elevation. Excited to play it in 5 Years.
@nomadnick
Still not finished, as others mentioned the rough is very rough (lots of nettles), don't play without spotter, for sure needs some clean up in some spots, but is very beautiful and will likely be rated much higher once the course is completed.
@samdemuth
Even if you keep it in the fairway you might not find your disc
