Silver Bay doesn’t maintain the course whatsoever with very thick brush or debris in several fairways/paths. Hole 4 is unplayable because of all the poison ivy. They placed a porta potty almost in front of the tee pad on hole 12 and good luck finding your disc after your drive on that hole. They really shouldn’t be charging with the lack of upkeep.

BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATES BEWARE! Looking at the hole distances on the udisc map, I thought this course would be fairly easy but boy was I wrong. This is a very tough, highly technical course. There’s a fair amount of blind throws with the heavy foliage and elevation changes. The rough is ROUGH and if you’re not confident in your lines than expect to lose a disc or two in the vegetation (Lost a pixel and a F2 teebird 3). The lines are TIGHT (I’m talking 10-20 ft wide tunnel shots for 100+ feet sometimes) and if you veer off the fairways you either A.) will need to take the penalty and drop in bounds or B.) will have a tough time finding a line to the basket (I just play it as lies and don’t play OBs unless I’m f***ed). If you play OBs I would expect 6 penalty strokes minimum unless you’re a highly skilled player. I’ve played 100+ rounds at 20+ different courses and can confidently say this is one of the harder/more punishing courses. It also doesn’t help that I’m a forehander and a good amount of holes finished to the left. Nevertheless, if you’re staying at Silver Bay or are local, its nice to have a course of this quality in the area. Hole 18 spits you onto the lakeshore trail which takes you right to the point for some stellar views. TL:DR - Bring your straightest flying discs and hit your lines perfectly… or else!

Fun track. Back 9 leaves a little to be desired, but overall a fun course with some tight fairways

I look forward to coming here every year! Silver Bay has been consistently working in making this a solid course. I appreciate their work!

Beautiful course with some stunning views. Front 9 has lots of elevation with beautiful shots, back 9 has lots of length and is fairly difficult. One long walk between 7 and 8 that can be confusing.

Great course with a lot of work done on it since I last played this summer. Some really fun technical shots through the woods of varying difficulty. Great baskets and great tees. Beautiful views of the lake and healthy hardwood forest.

Great, technical wooded course and a nice use of the wooded space on campus at Silver Bay Association. Many tight and challenging tunnel shots, tricky mandos, and some fun elevation changes. Watch for poison ivy — especially on the front nine. With additional use and and maintenance/clearing of pathways and fairways, this course will continue to improve. Stoked to have this course in the area.

Challenging, technical course with wooded tunnel shots throughout. Signage, tee-boxes, and pins are great but the course itself needs significant clean up and better paths

Free membership now available for locals! The course is now easily playable thanks to many volunteer hours of brush removal!
