About the course

The fairways may have a lot of airspace, but you still must control your shots to avoid bogey at Jackson Rec. The winding, flowing Tulpehocken Creek is the defining feature and can come into play on many holes. Avoid the water and you should enjoy ample opportunities at par and birdie on this well-kept town park.

Nice public course but the back and forth over the creek is very annoying. I don't really find it to be cart friendly either, because of all of the guard rails you have to go over.

I do not recommend this for beginners. Too much water for that. They should have more ways to get over the water especially at holes 6/17 and 11/12. You have to use the road or the culvert to get across. Not real safe. Otherwise, pretty nice. Hole 12 and 10 should be par 4
