About the course

A beautiful grassland course that visits the adjacent woods for several technical lines. If you like to let loose with bomber drives at a variety of fairway shapes, this is the course for you. The property features an athletic practice field and a pavilion with picnic tables, both adjacent to the gravel parking lot atop the hill. 1 practice basket sits below the gravel parking lot under a tree. Hole 1 starts on the left side of the gravel parking lot.
18 holes
Rubber mat, Grass Tees
DISCatcher Pro (28 chains) Targets
Mixed use
Public park
Dogs allowed
Cart friendly
The path between 7 and 8 will give your cart some issues. Also, due to the marshy terrain of this park, there will often be unavoidable stretches of an inch or two of standing water on holes 8 and 14.
No drinking water available
No restroom available
Stroller friendly
It won't be a smooth ride in some parts. After teeing off on hole 5, use the path behind you to go around and access the fairway. After hole 7, I would backtrack all the way to hole 5 basket in order to get to hole 8 (you'll see a sign directing you to hole 8). Also, due to the marshy terrain of this park, there will often be unavoidable stretches of an inch or two of standing water on holes 8 and 14.

Not recommended for individuals with limited mobility

If you are able to contend with mild to medium slopes, there is a sequence of holes that would be accessible to a wheelchair-assisted player. If you are not able, there is a shorter sequence of holes with softer slopes that you should be able to navigate alone in a wheelchair. Mild/medium slope sequence: 1, 2, 3, 5 (tee off, then follow the paved path around to the fairway), 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17. Soft slope sequence: Follow Greenwood Drive all the way to the loop surrounded by mulch piles, and park in that loop. I believe you could play 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 wheelchair-assisted without a helper. You would have a lot of trouble retrieving discs from any place not in the fairway, though.

I wish this course was closer to pittsburgh to complement all the wooded courses. Come here to learn to throw far and manage the wind. Good baskets and natural tee pads (the rubber has mostly been absorbed by the ground). The front 9 is great practice for distance while back 9 of this layout will challenge anyone with a variety of OB and ceilings
