@beast143
Beautiful course with a variety of holes and beautiful views of the Spires of Oxford
@poorskeleton
Needs more signage
@udiscbanor
Tråkig bana. Finns 3st hål som sticker ut från mängden. Gräs som Tee på 16 hål. Korgarna är bra. Konstig parsättning. Bra parkering annars. Men alldeles för dyrt och spela för denna nivå. (2.0/5.0)
@nherzig
Nice but the rubbish left by people ruins a bit the experience.
@hellstromm
Basically just an open field for 15 of the holes. Massively overpriced for the quality of the course. Virtually no teepads and a risk of death from the golf course next to 3 or so of the holes.
@niklaskochems
Lovely course but very simple design with no real challenges. Would still recommend. 11p is a bit expensive.
@sparrowe
So dull. I wanted my life to end before I'd got to the last hole. There's one single field and a random assortment of mounds and baskets. The course is so unintuitive, you could pick random tees and random baskets and it'd probably make more sense. If there was more than just me here, I would've been throwing at people on pretty much EVERY hole. There's no teepads either, so even when a hole does stretch in excess of 50m, I took can't throw a disc at full speed. It's super windy and that's not their fault, but it is annoying. There's litter everywhere as well, which for such a well-kept course is just mental. But finally and most egregiously, there's a driving range to the side of the course, which means if any golfer shanks a shot, you'd best watch out, and sure enough, there are golf balls scattered across the various holes close to the driving range. There was clearly no though put into making an interesting, good, or even safe course here. The golf course looks incredible, but they've just wedged us in. There's a fantastic 9 hole course in here somewhere, but they clearly didn't care enough to try and make it. I would've left early but I paid ELEVEN pounds for a terrible round. Oh, and why are there par twos? And an 80m par four? Nonsense.
@mcooke96
Quite a boring course designed on an old section of ball golf course. Almost entirely wide open, straight shots with some elevation and no shelter from strong winds. Nice to see more courses opening up in the area but at £9 a round I can't say it's worth visiting for any serious disc golfers.
@stevenmwilliams
Good to see another course but the vast majority of holes are just mown fairways in an open field. Some are interesting but glancing over to the terrain of the ball golf course gives a glimpse of what could have been
@garry35
Good course for what it is. Simple design with a couple of holes with obstacles to make you think .
@jonusher
Had fun but repetative holes. Could defo could do with some more short varety, mandos and OBs. For £24 for a day I feel teepads should be better than grass.
@martiben81
Lovely course. A bit spendy for what it is. Nice for a pitch and putt.
@alexgilbert82
Open course susceptible to wind. Couple of fun holes with some steep elevation changes. Well maintained with great, high vis baskets but grass tee pads could be better defined and imagine will get slippy in wet weather. Well suited to a not so seasoned amateur like myself… One round a bit pricey… sticking round for a few represents better value. Accessible location and the clubhouse facilities make it good place to spend the day. Cracking views over Oxford!
@bradelvy
Amazing to have a new course in Oxford! This place literally just opened. Some holes are very short, but there’s a nice 185m to finish and a coupe that go through trees/up steep hills etc. definitely worth giving it a go!
@mardyhardy
A decently maintained disc golf course (shared with some foot golf holes), somewhat lacking in variety. Most of the par 3s are quite similar, especially on the back 9. Given that the course is on a large plot of land, it is disappointing that the majority of the holes are completely open, with zero OBs, mandos, or even natural obstacles. The views of Oxford from above are stunning. Two extreme uphill and downhill holes make the front 9 slightly more interesting, and the par 5 to make it back to the clubhouse is a good challenge. Overall, the course is great for beginners, but I would imagine experienced players feeling unchallenged - one look at the leaderboard tells you all you need to know about the difficulty of the course. Perhaps the most off-putting aspect is the cost - charging more than £10 for any disc golf course is pretty expensive, especially for one with such little variety. I think if this price included the ability to play multiple rounds, it'd be much more acceptable, but you need to pay even more for a day pass... However, it's fantastic to have a course so close to Oxford, and I hope this encourages other golf courses in the area to offer a similar option.
@djclayson
Great course to practice mid range shots, good for playing solo as hard to lose a disc here. Fab views.
@danielellston
Love this course mixture of holes some long and some short mix of ranges from par 2 to par 5 interesting hole 6 going down a steep hill and followed by hole 7 for a par 2 up a very steep hill. So much fun takes about an hour to get round.
@laurra
Open golf course style with only 2 technical holes. Lovely views and well maintained, easy to navigate. Pars are probably too soft for experienced players
@gterry92
A new course near Oxford will open up the sport to so many new people! I would recommend giving this course a go as it offers something for both beginners and the more experienced players. There are short holes, plus some long par 4s and a par 5! The owners are very friendly!
@mulosh
This course popping up is great news! Some of the holes might be short but it's a great place to test your mid range game. And with 2 par 4 and a par 5 to test your max distance. It's definitely worth playing! There's an option to upgrade your stay to a day pass upon arrival. More info on Hinksey Heights website.
