Highland Park is an absolutey gorgeous park and we are so grateful to be able to take a walk through it while throwing some discs along the way. What an amazing introduction to the sport of disc golf!
@shanks33
I have never given a negative review of a disc golf course before. The amount of time and effort it took to get to the course to finally arrive to find kids climbing on baskets, homeless using baskets to store possessions, locals throwing discs back, a camping tent set up 10 feet from a basket, groups having cookouts directly beside baskets making every hole (except one) unplayable. Traveled from Ohio to play this course for opening weekend and did not get to play it. I’m not sure NYC is ready for disc golf.
@andrewkavanagh
One basket (H6) missing, be sure to follow uDisc map to navigate. Basket numbers don’t all match course layout. Fun wooded shots through the park and a bomber shot to finish on H10. Love to see a new course to play in the NYC area.
@adamlarson99
uDisc locations are wrong for most of the holes. Has blind shots, poison ivy and NYers in the fairways
@bsgillis
App says they took three baskets out for “Winter Maintenance.” Baskets 5, 6, and 7 are definitely missing. Not sure why though. No work being sone that I could see, and those holes looked playable.
@zaach21
Excited to see NYC finally have a disc golf course for their community! Great introductory course for new players.
@br0wnstalli0n
A very short and easy course, great for beginners. I love to see disc golf being brought to major metropolitan areas like this, I hope more cities do the same
@edge812
It a disc golf course in New York City! Epic. Putter midrange course with lots of walkers be careful . Excellent course design on the property. What a blast.
@cntbg23
Solid small park course. Great place to work on backhand form.
@ttc2126
Only 2 of the holes were playable bc of all of the people having parties, or laying on blankets in the middle of fairways, or even under the basket. Would be solid though if it was playable, and in all fairness I did come on a Saturday afternoon.
@thedrake022
At only 10 holes 4 is the highest I can rate it but it’s great for what it is!
@tbutler3033
5 star for what it is as a project, 1 star for what it is with pedestrians! If you show up just looking for good vibes and are creative enough to invent safari holes, you'll have a good time.
@hyoomac
Tall old growth trees, gently rolling hills and winding walks. The disc golf is well-designed, fun to play, and a great introduction to the game. Most of the holes set up for stock RH hyzers at various heights, and if you’re experienced, expect to play well under par. The design has a very good flow. The nine holes were fit in very naturally, and take full advantage of park foliage and topography. Detailed review at Discgolfcoursereview.com
@mattswanson
Very simple very short course with some interesting shot shapes. Definitely a beginner-focused course that would be a good putter-only round for experienced players. Great to have disc golf in NYC!
@jaybowser
What a fun course! I visited from South Carolina and would LOVE a course like this where I live! Fun ace race holes that require fantastic shot shaping and a great variety of shots. Can’t wait to come back to NYC and play again.
@tony
Awesome short course right in NYC. Park upkeep and signage is incredible.
@tessah
So happy to have a course in NYC. Bring bug spray. Some fun holes with lots of foot traffic and partying in the park. Next to a freeway which blows.
@nelsor
One word… accessible! Easy walk from the subway and very beginner friendly. Fun holes with some elevation, mostly putter shots but with some shaping required. Great work NYCDGA!!!
@nakki000
Overall good course. Quite easy but plenty of potential to become a great course! Excited for the future of NYC disc golf🏌️♂️
