It is a beautiful place. It's a public park with ponds, porta potties, a dog run, a pump track, and ball fields. To watch out for pedestrians. Many of the shots are blind and there are walking paths through them. The second half of the course is laid out in an Old orchard. I'm not sure I even played them correctly. The signs do not match you disc. I just did my best. I also recommend using the udisc app to find any of the holes. Many of the holes are not properly marked. A refresh with some care would upgrade this place up to another level. The rough is very rough. Some of the foliage needs to be cut back a ways. The course is also very wet in a couple of spots but it's tolerable. There are some water hazards so I encourage you to bring b team discs. If you are unsure if you can throw over water. I will play it again. But I will also think of ways that I can maybe help upgrade this course. Sutton's Bay is a beautiful town, and the locals are friendly. I would not let the moderate rating deter you from the play. Just take my advice and bring a couple of discs that you may need to sacrifice as you're learning the course.
@dano58
It has been a few years since I played this course, and the layout was changed. It took what challenge there was out of it.
@friskmydisc
Not much variety, most is all out in the open and the signage can be confusing.
@tristonelzinga
Start is pretty good, then the back nine is very simple, in the open. They seemed to have updated the course, so the app is incorrect on a lot of tees and holes. Some of the tees are also wooden. No trash cans.
@thuntz123
Honestly not the best course. Hard to follow the layout even with Udisc. I can see the idea they’re trying to do with the space they have, but could be designed better. Probably wouldn’t come play this one again.
@dutch15
I’ll start by saying this course has a lot of potential; they need to bring in someone who understands course design. Front 9 puts you very close to pedestrians and vehicles while the back 9 is very unimaginable with just a ton of very short, up and down shots. If it’s windy at all it makes this course almost impossible yo play as there really isn’t any wood play.
@kroeters
First 9 are fun, second nine are all very similar. Must used Udosc for course layout. When you set foot in hole 10, you can see nine of the baskets. Very similar from hole to hole
@ethkin
Keep an out for people along the paved walking path and be aware there are ponds as water hazards.
@blakebosma
Open course. Not as bad as the ratings say. Fun casual round.
@tomsdiscgolf
Redesign looks promising. Not a bad place for a quick morning round if u don't mind the construction, skip hole 1 give par due to new road...unless no one's watchinhg😏
@olaf010
Not a complete course
@pseudodudo
this place has majorly improved since last year - way more reasonable and fun // some cool shots and a fairly quick play // go see scott at streetside grill for a burger after your round
@mwalters6325
We did not complete this course. It looks like a park grew up around it, and the new parking lots and bike paths make the first few holes almost unplayable.
@dman5587
Front 9 has a bunch of near water shots. Discs floating in the water...
@discfinder
New layout is an improvement . Still tends to be wet in places
