Great course, bring water! Lots of elevation change. The arrows from each basket to the next tee pad make a huge difference.
@akt1ondiscgolf
Solid layout, baskets, and tee pads. Good use of mandos and elevation with a great variety of shots. Not too much ob in play, finding shade can be a challenge, and course didn't have tons of unique character but would be a very good course to compete on. Whoever runs the hotrdg fb page is also very childish because when I mentioned that the bush on 3 had overgrown the mando sign making it hard to see if you didn't know it was there, they responded with "thoughts and prayers". REAL professional😆. I ended up shooting around a -12 blind here and you can check out the action and my experience with this and other colorado courses @ akt1ondiscgolf on YT.
@zgritchie
Decent shot variety and fun lines, lots of up and down creek beds on the back nine. High desert type course, bring water
@mwatwood
Couldn't ask for a better course!
@jbenken
As an east coast disc golfer, I’m used to lots of unique shots with woods and water, etc. when I come out west I’m usually disappointed bc it’s so open and dry and shots are the same. I was VERY impressed with this course- holes were unique, tee pads brand new, and it was exciting the entire time. Still getting used to the wind but will definitely play when I visit again!
@mreconomy
A very nice course with a lot of variety in angles and in elevation
@bogtrotter
incredible! Just need to get this thing made permanent and you're golden.
@justintins
This is a great track! Fun shots, great views, and lots of work put into maintaining it. I played on a volunteer day, and there were a bunch of folks improving the course — props to you all!
@bschatsiek
What a great course! The amount of work that had to go into making this place possible is unbelievable. They've done a great job with a variety of hole lengths, shot shapes, etc. The meticulous care put into crafting the paths from the tees to the holes and from the holes to the next tees is very much appreciated. Job well done to all involved!
@robbymoy
Loved it.
@kevinpdonahoe
In town from Ohio and loved this mountain course!! Great use of elevation and trees for shot variety! Much appreciated signs for next holes and stunning views! Solid tee boxes will not disappoint and both long bombers (two over 600’) and tight, technical. Only suggestion for improvement is hole signs at the tee boxes. Some had nice signs, some were worn and some were missing. Overall great course and I look forward to a return round!
@logangrose
Awesome course. Good mix of open fairways and wooded holes. Good use of elevation and terrain. A gem for Colorado.
@johnjohn847
Really fun advanced course. Will be back to play every time i drive thru/near Salida!
@chrisdiscs
Going to be a hell of a course once it is fully broken in. Currently it's a little rough hiking.
@liquidchalk
Really coming together. Lots of work has been done (Beautiful teepads through hole 10). Best course in the valley
@akthrows
Rugged fairways. DiscGolfPark baskets. Great views!
@flowbee
Love it! Front 9 is half open, half wooded. Back nine is more open and longer. Two big off the top shots on holes 11 & 13 are super fun! Often windy in the afternoon, but relatively calm in the morning. The hike itself is a bit of a workout, but totally worth it.
