It didn't end up being what I expected at all and that's a good thing. It gives the impression of a "park course" and feels that way at times, but it's so much more and holds some really well designed holes. It's not quite perfect though as it does have a handful of similar holes. That said, the first 5 or 6 holes of this course set an incredible tone. It's "park golf" but with real challenge to the shots, including an amazing downhill 2nd. The back nine of the course is more elevated and plays in the woods. These holes often require some precision shooting to put up good scores but do suffer occasionally from too many trees blocking clear lanes. There are three sets of concrete tees. They have rudimentary tee signs on White and some navigational signage that does help, but they could absolutely use a sign upgrade, which it sounded like is upcoming. The baskets are a bit old school. They do have some benches and garbage cans along the way and there's a running water bathroom at the start and turn. I felt that the course could use a few steps in just a few places for safety. On a slick day some of the steepest paths are a workout. The park itself is just gorgeous. As a Pittsburgher, this is different terrain and vegetation than home. The course plays up and down elevation so expect to put in some hiking. There is this amazing old park all around you, then you go into mossy stones and fern forest that has a beautiful look to it. This is probably the best courses I've played in this area for sure.

Ignore the "hidden jem" haters, this is a lovely and legit course. I played it passing through the area (not a homer) and I haven't seen anything regionally that is better this side of Deer Lakes and maybe IUP College. Nice pads, with new longs and shorts going in this very moment. The woods holes are fair but challenging, with clear fairways. The park holes have enough elevation, big trees, and varied lines to be fun but require control. Many holes offer options for RHBH and LHBH throws, which I appreciate as a lefty. Holes are pared scorable, but not too soft so that it feels like you earned what you got. NOTE: it is NOT cart friendly and tough for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, if you're in the area prioritize this course!

Pro and recreational concrete have been installed. New tee signs coming soon!
@hsmith157
Very well maintained, excellent signage. Excellent choice of play experience. Can play seriously long and technical, longish and more technical or just moderately long and technical. Or, play a mix of all three! Teepees were clean and well placed. A couple big shots that require control. Definitely a course that requires one to play position golf. Would return here for sure!
@jgeiman
Course was ok. Don’t think I’d drive more than an hour to play it though. Most of the course appeared to be unkept and many holes were played down what seemed like service roads. Lots of trash too. Appears there are attempts to make the course nicer with the new teepads. But it still needs cleaned up a bit. Not a bad local course. But not 4.3 rated in my opinion. I’d this is a 4.3, Morraine should be a 10, not 4.7.
@whoispopeye
Paths from home to hole are treacherous. Unsafe.
@pshevock
Challenging course with a variety of park style/wooded holes, unique shot shapes and large concrete tee pads. What more could you ask for?
@chelseeleebeck
I enjoyed the course. New tee pads, UDisc is updated. Working on signs. Little extra walking, tiny flying bugs are bad but liked the course. Locals were super friendly and welcoming when we got there, that’s unusual, loved that. Thanks so much, we will come back.
@eschenky
I’m sad I only had time to play 9. I’m happy that I’ll be in town again in the future to play the whole course. It’s beautiful, challenging and well maintained. Huge thank you to the Oil Valley Disc Golf Society for the upkeep of this very special place!
@sambronson
The rumors are true. It's a real beaut Clark. Worth the drive.
@hoozyer
Very very nice, quirky at times but in a good way. Very well kept and cared for.. Beautiful woods and property.
@horsemarvelous
Interesting technical course with unique shot shapes that are very challenging for this newbie. Hard to find the baskets first time through but not the worst. Well maintained and signage is appreciated. Beautiful rhododendron bushes would be lovely in the spring I assume. Pretty course. Looks like different tees are going in which should really increase the rating for me.
@gtalk256
Incredible. Wish it were closer to home. I love the "Park" style feel without the Park style crowds.
@jonking
The updates they’ve done to this place are awesome! First time I played this place my only complaint was cement tee pads.. they fixed that and then some!! Such a fun technical course!!
@brickie
Few down trees but in really good shape.
@ericjageman
This course was always worth the drive and was one of PA’s hidden gems. Now with the upgrades it’s a definite must play. Unique course, unique baskets, and a blast to play!
