WOW!! What else can I say... A 25+yr. player and this beautifully challenging well groomed course was a surfire favorite to have the opportunity to play in SD. Scenic tees and finishing baskets along with a rough that is definitely rough, so choose wisely on the disc 😉 Thank-you Hartford Beach State Park (it's grounds crew staff) in Hartford Beach, SD!!

One of the most beautiful courses in spring or fall, a must play for a quick beautiful round gets quite tough to find discs if you just wander off the small fairways a bit but that adds to the challenge and charm of this course. Also really close to the water and RV/Campground.

I would leave a 5 star however there was no restroom/portable to use. I found the majority of negative reviews to be skill based issues. You’ll lose your disc on any course if you don’t watch where it lands (coming from a guy that shot boogey free here for the first time playing while landing on the fairway on two of my shots). Something also good to note is it is on a state park, and to you are required to get a day pass to play it!

Difficult, as others have mentioned. Challenging yet fun, is perhaps a better description. I did enjoy it!

I love to play this course in the winter , spring and fall but tend to avoid the summer when the growth is in full bloom. I tend to not hit the fairways though. Well maintained and great variety in the holes and views. Thanks for the new pad on 7!

Amazing 9 hole course! Super challenging with the small fairways and unforgiving rough.

Great lay out .. some tight fairways that require a lot of accuracy . By far The best course I have played in the area .

Course fairways are only about 20-25 feet wide. Less then ideal

Stay on fairways, thick rough, easy to lose discs.Fun course that requires accurate shots off tee, and clean upshots. While I enjoy the challenge, I believe the thick rough would be frustrating to a less experienced player.

Must be able to throw straight. Some challenging narrow fairways. Very pretty course.

This was playing in some serious brush. But the elevations were tight, fun course. Lots of tall grass and spiderwebs when I played.

Fun course. Narrow fairways with thick OB. 6&7 still do not have cement tee pads.

fun course. Lots of longer straight fairways. The fairways are quite narrow (16’) and once you get off those your in very thick rough, 3 foot and taller sumac.
