About the course

This 9-hole private course is located behind Halo Disc Golf & Sports. Each hole features two different tee pad locations with rubber mats to tee from. The original layout designed in 2020 featured only 9 tees, but with the addition of 9 more tees in 2023, this course went from a short practice course to a challenging round riddled with mandatory trees, OB fence lines, and two OB ponds, not to mention finishing on a 30' island green. The newer tees are a mix of longer tee locations and shorter tee locations. This opened the course up for 4 different 9-hole layouts in OG Tees, New Tees, Short Tees, and Long Tees. This addition also allowed for an 18-hole layout where players can play the OG Tees first and loop the course again playing the New Tees. Players can also play an 18-hole round on any of the 4 layouts by looping them twice. The course features 4 different basket types for local players to get a chance to play on several different baskets. We have a mix of Prodigy, Latitude 64, Discraft, and Dynamic Discs baskets. Water is in play on 4 of the 9 holes so please be aware that there is a possibility of losing a disc in the ponds. If you are uncomfortable with throwing over/around water, we have floating disc sets available to rent in the shop for only $5. The course is only available to play during shop hours. Please come inside the shop for permission to play the course. If we are not there, the course is closed. You can also contact us via email ([email protected]), phone (423-393-4352), or facebook messenger (www.facebook.com/halodiscgolf) to check course availability. Current 9-hole layout designed by Seth Overbay and Josh Baysinger with help from Logan Parker and Rick Gray.

Limited mobility/cane accessible

Most holes have elevation but most are gradual inclines or declines in elevation. There is one steep hill between Hole 2's basket and Hole 3's tees, but the hill is avoidable by traveling off the sides of the ridge rather than going down the hill.

Several picturesque holes near ponds that provide a risk-versus-reward challenge. Cool holes that require precision to score well. Course is on some low-lying ground and can get really swampy. A couple of filler holes. Ideal warm-up before tackling the big Morristown courses. For more details, see www.dgcoursereview.com.
