Fun course. Beginners to intermediate should do fine. Mostly open but good use of property to get some different shots. I would suggest 300 + ft throwers play the harder layouts.
@cthediesel22
Good beginner park style course, If it’s windy then course is tricky w/lil bit of OB & Scioto but mostly open.
@lukecrisis
Griggs is … Griggs. It isn’t a bad course. There is enough distance and OB to challenge enthusiastic new players to focus on adding control/controlled power to their game. If you’re rated 870+ this course has a lot of birdie-able holes, and you can focus on being able to identify the right disc/line and execute it consistently. Having said that, most of the holes are pretty open and straightforward. 3, 4, and 5 favor rhfh, hole 8 is tight and can eat discs when the water is high, hole 9 has a line of guardian trees outside of circle 2 between the tee and basket. Hole 10 is probably the most interesting, best designed hole on the course. Holes 13-17 are all birdie-able, and hole 18 has some real distance and challenging guardian trees. It isn’t the most scenic course in central Ohio, it isn’t the easiest or most challenging, and it doesn’t offer the most interesting holes (with a few exceptions). It IS a good course to help players develop the specific shots required by certain holes, and it definitely favors players who can putt consistently from distance. It is just a good, middle-of-the-road course.
@flyingfrolfer
Has the potential to be a really good course! Needs the grass cut badly.
@mumstheword
Fun mostly open track. Not alot of distance needed and the baskets provide mind numbing spit outs.
@shagerdorn
Most holes very open and beginner friendly but a couple of holes with protected baskets or tunnels. I wish they would move the basket for hole 4 back into the protected cave like area rather than out by the path. As one of the most played courses in central ohio, it would be nice it they would cut the grass. Baskets are also well used and it be nice if they had visible bands.
@noahct
Very beginner friendly, open, inviting course. Easy to play a quick round without losing discs as long as you steer clear of the water. Wish there were more trees but father time is unstoppable!
@bisness36
Some of the holes are really fun and some are pretty straightforward (literally). Great course to bring any skill level to
@jsartin13
Really open, no wooded holes , great to practice driving .
@dreadfuldaniel
Love this course, came back first time in a while and no baskets up :( june 16, 2020
@tgrady18
Nice course. Well kept. Very open. Course may seem easy, but if you play as a 54-56 and OB, the course really challenges accuracy and distance off the tee to get birdies.
@eyewreck
Good for a chill and easier game. A lot of the course is out in the open so you shouldn’t have to worry about losing anything unless you go into the water on the two holes where it comes into play, but that’s easily manageable if you play it safe. A great option if you live in this area of Columbus or are passing through.
@kiwidg
It's a relatively generic "straight out, straight back" course with little shot variety. Great for beginners and in close proximity to a disc retailer, so naturally it is typically very, very busy. Best to come during off-hours.
