This is all you could ask for in a course. Solid shot variety, not too difficult, reachable birds. But more importantly is the course layout. Very tasteful use of OB. It's very fair and adds a critical element. The rough is about 15 feet inside of the OB line as well so plenty of space to stop a disc. Use of mandos here also makes this course work. We saw a red headed woodpecker which was very cool.
@thebaldinfidel
This course is a shell of what it once was. After losing all of the trees the rough is now an abyss for your discs. Course blows now.

Really enjoyed the Mach X’s. It’s nice to see a course of this caliber use quality baskets. The course is fun and fair. The marked OB on every hole is a nice touch but for a track as wooded as pecan hollow, I felt it was over punishing. Really makes you want to disc down to help minimize any errant shots. Lots of mandos….felt like a maze. I guess I don’t mind them. Wish the mandos had a more clear drop zone if you missed. Most of the time if you miss the mando, you’re most likely taking an OB stroke in the process. Which ‘helps’ since you can take your lie further back if necessary. Overall. Pecan hollow is on a similar level as the admiral or parc des familiies in NOLA. Long. Lots of trees. Plently of scoring opportunities but with lots of teeth. Would def recommended it for any player wanting to test their game.

Don’t waste your time on the white layout. There are no tee pads and the few that are marked are just sandy spots. You will need UDisc for way finding. Wear long pants. Fairways are narrow and briar bushes are all over the course. Not beginner or low am friendly. There are better courses near by. Added half star for good baskets.
@imwearingcons
I am playing from out of town and this is my favorite course in the area!
@kevinr12345
Accidently skipled 11 and 12
@skymtb
A tough course with several really long holes, not sure I've played a course with so many par 5's.
@davexole
I’ve been timid to try this course due to the reviews, and I have to say, I am shocked that negative reviews exist. The course is tough, and the rough is rough, but the fairways are so well kept. You simply have to play smart, put the disc in the fairway, and take your pars and occasional birdies. Don’t be a hero and try and break the course. And if you are playing casually and taking multiple shots, just don’t. You will lose bad shots in the rough. Great course to practice your smart play!
@pickshark
Course is in desperate need of maintenance. Brush is 5-6 feet high immediately off the fairway. A few tee signs are completely inaccurate.
@kanizma
The fairway grass is long, the rough is practically underbrush it was super hard to play.
@beastvalkyrie
Look for direction of next tee on the hole sign before teeing off the hole you're on!! Several paths that are easy to get turned around on. Great variety of shots and decently wide fareways, just be ready to spot quick if you get an inevitable tree kick It definitely helps to have a group that can help spot.
@borisbecker475
Good shot shapping through trees, but TOO many mandos (almost as many holes there are). I understand the reasoning but should have left those trees, force creativity behind the player.
@pfunkster
Fix these Frankenstein teepads and clean up the massive brush piles and this course could be a high quality advanced am style track.
@isuaggie
Length and mature trees , but mostly fair and well defined fairways. Bright disc and safe lines key to a ovoiding long searches in the deeper rough. An enjoyable walk and challenge. Would be nice if the white tees had concrete pads.
@hillsdalecj
Very good wooded course that feels odd from the removal of many smaller trees and brush but the core of the course remains. Mach X’s a nice plus. Not sure what happened here but this was a beautiful, well-designed, highly technical, and challenging wooded course and now it’s a bit odd because most if not all of the most important trees for the course remain but the rest of the natural surroundings is slashed to the ground. Still very good and still my favorite to play at Graham Creek. Some pink straps around trees serve as Mando’s to keep the holes what they were intended to be. Two good sets of tees to choose from (though only tee pads on back tees). Disc golf dedicated and very tranquil surroundings. Great design though a few of the short par fours on the back may be too short from the white tees. Used to feel more like a mini-WR Jackson and unfortunately it has gone through some of the same demolition. With the removal of trees everything is less defined and doesn’t flow as obviously- some navigation signs are needed now. Favorite holes: 1, 3, 5, 10, 18 Least favorite hole: 15
@mullinator92
Super solid course, a blast to play. Very much wish I had been able to make it down here before the Once-ler got to it though, I bet those fairways were crazy technical, would have certainly been 5 stars!
@willboll
So ugly now. I played it for this one last time, and like seeing an old girlfriend who is now ugly and fat, there is enough there to remember the good times, but you also have to squint in order to not see the ugly and try to remember the beauty she once was. I can only hope that it was some external entity that clear cut and the course managers 'saved' the course, and not that the course managers perpetrated this crime. If the latter was the case I would give this -1 stars.
@suierveld
Great course design. I heard they had issues with a hurricane so the course plays way easier than it used to with everything cut down. Needs some more clear mandos and course still plays at a pro level with maybe some soft pars. 5 stars once everything gets cleaned up.
