There is a dead dog carcass by 2’s tee pad. Otherwise the course seems relatively well kept and is a good play if you’re in the area.

@baer259
Goat Island is such a fun course! I feel like I’m walking through a disc golf ruin- missing tee pads, sand fairways, tunnel shots with trees still rooted, but completely curved. There are some amazing lines with trees as obstacles- when you hit a few, it feels amazing! Add to that a couple of water carries and the eminent water threat of losing discs if you miss the fairway, it makes for an overall excellent course. (Of note, it was a dryer day in the afternoon and mosquito season has not started).

This course needs some TLC, but wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Had some great holes, mostly tee areas on some holes are real bad. Signage/way finding pretty decent.
@joshac516
Goat island has had a huge turn around. Played here again for the first time in 8 months and I am thoroughly impressed. Last I was here the course seemed in terrible shape overgrown huge fallen trees everywhere especially on hole 2 that really ruined the vibe. I knew there was potential for this course but didn’t think it would reach it. However the course had been seriously cleaned up most annoying debris and trees have been cleared and the course is looking great there’s new teepees in a few places as well. Whoever took the time and put in the work seriously thank you I’ll be back much more in the future.

@reilly
This was a really neat course. It could use a little TLC and it would be excellent. The layout is a little wonky so the UDisc map is a must. Some of the tee areas were totally covered in mud and there were a few holes that were a little overgrown. The water for sure comes into play on a few holes… and I didn’t see a single goat ☹️

@mstrjollo
Intermediate to advanced track (with a few pro lines (1 & 2) Very cool dg club maintaining the grounds. Mosquitos are the only thing that give this course a negative review. They are thick.

@screwattack
Most tee boxes are covered in mud. Poor signage on half the holes. There’s a tree down on one of the holes that costs a stoke to make it past. I suppose worth trying once but I won’t go out of my way to play here again. Stunned it has a 3.8 score. Maybe in perfect conditions I could see it but as it currently is…not worth a consideration.

@mattmarkham
I want to so badly love this course. But the tee pads are completely covered in sand and 15 is blocked by a tree. With some maintenance, this course could be a true gem. But for now, it’s continuing to be buried with every passing storm.

@damac82
One of the most unique courses I’ve ever played…in a good way. I won’t bash on the upkeep too much…clearly some are working hard out here. With better tee boxes and drainage, I’d give it a 5. I’ll be back again(as long as it’s been rain-free for a week).

@kwiksilver91
5-star layout but poor maintenance. Tee pads are sunk and small and slippery. Fairways and greens are muddy and sandy. New tee pads and a lot of wood chips would make this an amazing course. Love the low ceilings

@anthonyscolaro
Amongst all the Giants in Charlotte you can tell this was once a small gem worth playing. Unfortunately vandalism and extreme neglect have made it all but unplayable.

@hesstrucksback
It is really muddy right now and a few downed trees make for some interesting new shot shapes.

@djskinner
Everything Was freshly trimmed and looking great out on the course today! Minimal mud even after the rainy week.

@moonrocks
Course is pretty good shape thanks to everyone who’s been working on it. Holes 4, 6, and 15 need a little mud cleared tee box.

@princelayup
Nice place

@pdskaar
I had an amazing time, even though it rained a little this weekend I saw 0 flooding and no swarms of bugs, layout is great and so is the scenery, feels like a beach course or a mini camp canaan.

@durant
Hole 18 is worth coming by itself
