This course will forever have a place in my heart from here on due to certain happenings during my round... Long story short, it's got the potential to be a great course, but somebody has got to get some routine upkeep going on it specially if it's going to be pay to play... I will likely come back in the fall/winter once all the ivy is dead and play again
@robckelly
Really overgrown, borderline unplayable. Lost a disc in poison ivy (or oak?) on the first hole. Tried to carry on using only putters but hole 2 has 6-foot tall brush either side of a very narrow fairway.
@jabbs45
Worst place ever you pay to get in and they don’t even keep the course looking nice a lot of places to loose your disc not many good holes
@jreedmissippi
Some state parks take a well-designed and built course and maintain it appropriately. This is not one of those parks. The fairways are the paths to the basket. Get off of them and you might find your disc but you’ll get tore up in the process. A controlled burn would do wonders for the underbrush. Please turn this course over to someone who cares about disc golf
@bangingchains39
Worth the extra 20 minutes to go to Sandy creek or lawrenceville
@logants95
Poison Ivy EVERYWHERE!!! Putters and mids only. $9 to park and play isn’t worth it
@elijahboeckman
Granted, we came right after a storm, but the tees were soaked and there was debris all over. The fairways are small and the shots are pretty standard. Off the fairways the brush is really thick, so it’s really easy to lose a disc.
@dgyates02
TONS of cabbage of the tight fairways. But, if you use bright disc shouldn't be a problem. Very playable course.
@andoidbuck
Upkeep is non-existent as of this review. Completely unplayable with dense poison ivy all along first 3 holes. Dropped out at hole six due to poor conditions and excessive poison ivy that had pretty much taken over any semblance of a course. Especially disappointing considering was fee per player of $4 plus the parking fee. Not even close to worth it.

Clean up corse
@danielmarvel
I’d say this is a seasonal course for me. Every summer I think “I’ll go play yargo” and end up having an awful time and losing discs right in the fairway. In the winter tho, it’s a great par 3 course with fun shots!
@hennytime
Course was in good shape at one point in time because of a group of volunteers. The park was supposed to keep up with it after that. They did one controlled burn and absolutely nothing since. They claimed it was going to be part of the beach area makeover, but they did absolutely nothing with the course and let it get completely overgrown and unplayable....again. Do yourself a favor and save your $9 and go play one of the great courses in Walton, Gwinnett, Rockdale, or Newton.
@alane89
This would be such an amazing course. If they were just up keep it zero upkeep by the staff.
@crane67
Course closed. Under construction til summer ‘25
@michaelhubb
After reconstruction of the surrounding area, no upkeep was conducted on course. Some holes are unplayable due to fallen trees and overgrowth. There is no signage and pads are a mess. They need to close the course before someone gets hurt.
@nobleman17
Great in the wintertime, harsh in the summer. Despite the controlled burn around the front fairways, we’re talking spiders, sticker bushes, and poison oak galore. Otherwise a fun course.
