Holes are fun and unique, however, the layout is not intuitive and was hard to understand at first. Multiple shots where near potentially populated areas such as parking lots, roads and walkways where a bad shot could cause damage. Overall a fun course but could use some upkeep and better and more obvious routes to the next hole.
@lancek
Fun course great shots. May need a spotter on a few holes from the long tees.
@nolajordo
Points deducted because a) it’s a pretty silly layout in some places with long walks between holes; b) some shoddy/nonexistent tee pads; c) some signage in disrepair; and d) difficult to navigate. BUT, it’s a very fun, well-maintained course with some beautiful mountain vistas.
@longboylog
Call me a hater, but too overhyped. Great course if you are already staying here, but i wouldnt drive out of your way to check it out.
@ncatron406
A couple holes that need some maintenance and are a little weird, but besides those, very very fun disc golf course that’s challenging but scoreable. Very scenic and beautiful, great elevation change.

I don’t know what was funner, driving the Tail of the Dragon to this course or the course itself! Even though I accidentally stepped in the creek on hole one and drenched both shoes and lost a “science” disc on hole 2, I had a blast playing this course. I had delayed playing this course because the layout on UDisc makes it look like all straight unvaried shots, but they are all very different and fun. I think this is a great course for those starting out or middle of the pack players looking to get better. But if you’re a pro, I’d still think you’d enjoy it.
@ricewatts
Great design! Nice mix of shots! Just needs a little bit of up keep and a few repairs to cracked signs.
@argemiro
According to UDisc, I've been blessed to play roughly 164 different courses across the country, this course is easily a top 5 Disc Golf destination! Layout, tees, signage, location/scenery and level of play challenge will definitely put any Intermediate to pro players bag to the test. I truly enjoyed every throw on this absolutely beautifully placed course that to whomever designed it not only had difficulties and challenges in mind but also had a very clear understanding of the different skill levels to make this course that much more playable for the various player. This spectacular course deserves nothing less than sincere recognition! Thank-you Fontana Dam, NC!
@ahsetzer
An absolute blast! Don’t expect to have any cellular service, so take a photo of the board at Tee 1. A little extra love with the tee areas and navigation would make this 5⭐️
@jordankass06
All in one great experience. Disc gold and the dragon! Super fun!
@darinrilatos101
Don’t close it. I will play it a lot. Played it blind and by myself but now I know the lines/course a bit better. Love the two tee pad options.
@jackle36
Course may not be around for much longer. One of the best in southeast United States. Play it as much as possible for the hope of the resort keeping the course!
@durant
One of the first courses I've played and still one of the best
@landonl
Pro course layout is a bit wonky sometimes but overall great course
@wmunson
Beautiful Mountain course that plays well with elevation, some wooded lines, and some bomb holes.
