A well-designed park course in West Portsmouth with beautiful views of the Ohio River and the surrounding hills! Nice concrete tee pads with well-made and easy to decipher tee signs, and I enjoyed the variety of shot shapes in the wooded areas. Yanking one over the bank on 8 was made less frustrating by the easy way down forward of 9's tee (let me know if you find a pink Ozone down there).
@jayhams
Course was great. Played when it was 30 mph winds so I'll take what I could get.

Love it

Great use of the area that is provided for sure! Beautiful view of the mountains and the river. With the rest of the newer baskets in and better signage this course will be a 5 star.
@milesstamey
I like the course. After heavy rain it can become a little treacherous. A couple holes will flood and the creek running into the river will rise up an extra 3-5 feet. Outside of that it has a good layout. Different shot types available for most all players. A stretch of wooded shots through the middle of the course. Some open. Overall it’s a nice course if you wanna get a shorter and entertaining round in.

Really cool views along the Ohio River, and they did a good job planning out the course with the land. Parts were flooded, but what can you do.
@lightsout
New tee pads in recently. Signs are on the way. Some bombing some wooded. Try it!
@brycoon
Such a great upgrade from the original course. Super fun 18 with great shot variety. Has some bomber holes, and some shorter technical holes. Great for all skill levels.
@zephyrical
Holes 1 through 4 and 16 through 18 are open field shots, the rest are decent woods for the most part. Course desperately needs teepads, signage missing on hole 10 and 11. Mach 3 on front nine are in good condition but need replacing. Back 9 has disc catchers.

2.5/5 - average Pros: -good amenities (practice basket, shelters, bathrooms, tables, trash cans, parking) -lovely views of hills and rivers -nice wooded section -a few par 4s Cons: -safety: a few shots play over pedestrian path while 15 and 16 play near soccer fields and parking area -several shots are near a soybean field presenting major lost disc risk. 17 even plays over it -repetitive at times. Lots of 360’ open field shots with soy OB or 200’ wooded shots -bring bug spray, especially for river area -no teepads -tee signs are laminated signs tacked to trees often and hard to find at times -navigation can be confusing given the prior 2 points -wind a major factor in fields and near water Full review on DGCourseReview
@afdfireman
Just needs teepads.
@riley247
Fantastic design and excellent use of all the park has to offer. Gets at least 6 strokes harder once the beans are up, but not a deal breaker (makes you a better golfer anyway). Parks does a great job on upkeep, as does the local club members. 18 holes with up to date full color tee signs, currently has natural tees but permanent, full size tees are coming. Each basket has a "next tee" marker to point you in the right direction. Mix of DGA Mach baskets and Innova Pro 28 Discatchers.
@rlday60
Great new design. Will improve as time passes. Would like to see second set of tees put in for shorter throwing players, and A and B placement baskets for greater shot variety.
@leonwright
Like to see new baskets to replace the old current 1-9. Grass needs to be cut alot lower!!!! Parks is dropping the ball.
@coachhines3
Overall great course. I love playing here. Tee pads are in and are great and can’t wait until the front 9 gets upgraded baskets
@seekw52
I always love coming to this course. Great hole layout. It’s a great course for beginners to learn disc golf, and practice. This will definitely be a favorite course for many people in the coming months.
@shanks33
This course is a must play if you are in the area. Long course with a thoughtful layout. Got some bonus views of barges floating down the Ohio River. Really great job guys!
