The targets are fine, the variety and layout is ok, but this course was virtually unplayable with how many kids events and people were out on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. Threw a total of 3 holes, and even those three I had to wait for perfect moments when people were not around to think I was throwing even remotely near them, much less make safe and responsible throws.

Honestly all of the hate for the course seems a little unfair. To help qualify I did play it on a Thursday morning in December so things were pretty quiet. Holes 1-4 and 8 are just putter shots for more experienced players, but there are some obstacles. Holes 5-7 are much further, with 6 actually being a somewhat difficult par 3 if you count the road as OB. Hole 9 seems to be lacking a target, so I just substituted the light post on the north side of the steps as a target 🤷🏻‍♂️. Object courses are fun if you can just make the mental shift that it’s okay to not experience the chains/dopamine feedback loop 😂. Best thing about this course is that it’s only a ten minute drive from my house. All others are a minimum of 25. Highlights how much northern Tacoma/UP sorely need a real disc golf course. Having said that, this course can mildly scratch the itch and I’m glad that it’s here.

If you go when the park is empty and use it as field work practice for an actual disc golf course… it’s still not very fun. One star for effort.

It's playable if you go into it knowing it's a practice round with no baskets. Make sure you go why everyone's in school !

Not fond of this they should not even be able to call this a course

The only time I would go is 7am. A lot of the holes go over benches and through baseball diamonds. Object course only, no tee pads. I used the light pole by the pool to replace the object for hole 9..

Construction currently makes several holes unplayable as areas are fenced-off. At least holes 1 and 5 are unplayable at the moment.

People are funny for being mad that it’s an object course when it clearly states on UDisc that it’s an object course. I take people who are not familiar with disc golf here to get them introduced to the sport and for that reason this course is great. The disc golf community should be excited for the opportunity for a course like this to get people introduced to the sport and build it. The course is small, yes. It could be crowded sometimes but so are other public parks that have a disc golf course on it? People way over hate this course, for no really beginner courses in the area it does its job. Would love to see baskets installed eventually though.
