About the course

A beginner-friendly course. There are a variety of holes laid out in a lightly wooded and elevated course. A great course to learn the game. The park will be available for disc golf starting Monday Nov 17th, however, parts of the course will still be in process. With the amount of work left with getting the park ready, some parts of the park will still be in progress. From hole 4 to 5, a staircase will be built after Nov 17th. Parks will install mulch on the fairways of holes 2 through 4. The fence area along the side of holes 3 and 4 is USPS property. This is federal property. No Trespassing please! In December, permanent solar basket lights will be installed to allow every night glow on the course. Finlay Park is currently a clear bag policy park. Course #96 for me. I had a good time! It was nice to have some ace runs and a new Columbia course. I only live 8 mins away, so I’ve been very excited for this course to open. No holes over 201 ft, but it was a nice change of pace. However, some of the holes felt very unsafe for pedestrians and passersby. Obviously we wait for them to pass, but several holes throw right over walkways and such. This will probably be less of an issue when the newness wears off and the park is less crowded, but it felt very in the way. I had a good time, though. Somewhat forehand heavy lines for the holes. Beautiful park, upkeep is great!
