2.5 stars. Expo Park has a few highlights, but as a beginner it’s been my least favorite course so far. Depending on the season, expect geese, goose poop, mosquitos, mud, and plenty of prickly weeds. Holes 8–14 have swampy, mostly stagnant water that makes the middle stretch pretty rough. The back half does offer some great long drives. In summer you might see the big guy in waders who walks the water traps, tosses out lost discs, and sells them for a dollar each, cash only. Be prepared to lose discs. The water hazards on the back nine are unforgiving, especially on windy days, and beginners will almost certainly lose at least one disc around holes 8–14. A really bad shot on 11 or 12 can even reach traffic. There are some bright spots, but overall the course conditions hold it back for beginners like me.
