@zambogey
Debris in the wooded fairways is probably about my only complaint
@kalebk
Overall the course is not bad but the signage was lacking and figuring out where the different tee pads are located was challenging.
@jugglingfool
First eight holes are nice. Then many field shots and lots of backtracking to the next hole. Totally muddy and flooded so if it's wet avoid this course or wear galloshes.
@kgb1984
Long, open and boring or poke and hope wooded holes are your only options here! Signage at the tees is lacking and navigation is terrible without UDisc.
@acuraboom
Long shot course, fun and hard
@lane1225
Wooded holes were fun, but the open holes were just boring. Wide open with no danger. Some OB stakes on the open holes to make you think would be great.
@micahmcgaughy
Very long new course in calera. Great addition to SCDG. Really fun track.
@bradbrandon4jc
Great course with mixed shots and challenging from both white & blue tees! (Most holes have red, white & blue tees with a few pro/am’s) Blue tee for #9 is missing but everything else is well marked & lots of fun praise God!! 🙌
@jdshell
One word, POTENTIAL! With some work the course would be the best in the area. Course is challenging and tests shot variety. Course is long and there's alot of walking to get to the next tee areas. Requires you to hit fairways or you could lose disc's easily, especially in the tall grass. Recommend signage for each tee as the distances and pin placement can get confusing.
@apcarmichael
Has so much potential. There are some fantastic feeling and looking holes with lots of unique and fun shot-shaping and fairway maneuverability. Other courses should wish they had holes as fun as 7 and 8. It just feels untouched in along while. Some of the back tee pads feel like an afterthought in terms of location and access to the shorter pads’ fairways. As someone who throws further than most intermediate and lower-skilled disc golfers, it’s refreshing to have many longer holes to attack. There aren’t enough bomber holes and par 4s nearby (many existing ones are underutilized pin positions), but a lot of them are in a wide ass open field that offer no challenge apart from finding your disc in uncut grass, dealing with bad drainage, and it being 450-900 feet. If it got some love with upkeep and some design changes, it could easily be one of the best courses in the state. The plot of land is just waiting to be used correctly.
@sneakysnake
Solid course. The new red tees add a bit more for less experienced players.
@psyduck77
New red pads make this course open to all skill levels. Lots of different shot shapes. Very fun!
@toddbryant
New in the ground. Some work needs to be done. But this course has potential of being one of the better courses around West Alabama.
@samuelboddie
Course design is fun, but it drains terribly. Maybe we went at a bad time, but several quit because it was so swampy and muddy.
@markfed7
A fun, if sometimes confusing to first time play layout. Props to the designers and folks who have put in the work so far, particularly the bridges.
@jvarner
This is a good course that looks like it's only going to get better. The course is a challenge from the middle tees and looks like it'll be quite difficult from the longs. The open holes could use some more creativity, but the long open hole was a rare chance to just throw far in different winds.
@strevdisc
Long, challenging course still getting established - fun day outside as always!
@blakebailey
Really tough wooded and long bomb hole. There’s some muddy area but overall it was actually nice course
@macddy
If this course got the upkeep it deserved. It would be one of the best courses around.
@lawrenceofal
This is a newer course. It is about 5 minutes from the Calera High School course. Not Cart friendly (at the moment) however I’m sure with foot traffic and some more work it may be manageable. Restrooms and pavilion nearby. 18 holes (long and short) Concrete pads (some are elevated so may not be good for run ups) Tight lines in the woods for most of the course. Some water hazards on tight lines. A few long drives. Should be a nice change of pace to many of the easier Shelby County courses.
