About the course

Coopers Rock Disc Golf Course is the Morgantown Mountain Goats Disc Golf Clubs newly constructed and extremely wooded disc golf course. This is a large piece of property and a decent sized hike that includes elevation changes and mountainous/rocky terrain. The back 9 is brand new and the tee pads are under construction, the entire course is a work in progress. Everything is mapped out on UDisc but the distances and tee pad locations are not exact, due to cell phone reception and accuracy of GPS, but they are close. Our main goal is to get this course to Championship Level...stay tuned. Tee signs are in the works for the front 9. First tee is on the right side, of the first parking lot, upon entering Coopers Rock State Forest. Extremely wooded course and designed to challenge all skill levels. The 10th tee is located across the road and down the Scotts Run Trail. The new "learn To Play Loop" is located close to #9 white tee and ends at the big COOPERS ROCK sign. Kiosk and signage to come soon. 3 different tee pads per hole, front 9 tees are installed and back 9 tees are natural and marked by preliminary colored gold stakes (pro), blue stakes (advanced) and white stakes (intermediate). See pictures for a map. Quality tee boxes are currently being installed on the back 9, we are aware of the necessity. Follow the arrows hanging from the baskets, marking paint on rocks as well as directional signs to find the trail to the next hole. Hole 7 is now a par 5! Warning- this walk down the hill will have wet spots. Sorry, the drainage project is in the plans. This course is new and in its infancy. Please enjoy it and help us track in our newly constructed fairways.

Wow. I have sought out and played some of the best disc golf in the country, and this course stands up with the best of them. This is a tightly wooded, and challenging track. There is a very nice “learn to play loop” for beginners, but the main 18 is much better suited for experienced players. That being said, there are some of the most incredible and rewarding woods lines I have ever played. Beautiful winding fairways through magical forest. The back 9 was still unfinished at the time I played this course. No tee pads yet, but there was still a decent run up on most holes. There are some incredible bones here. Once this course is completed it will hold up with the likes of Brewster ridge and Iron hill. Kudos to the course designers on this incredible track
