For what it is, this course is fine. 18 baskets in a largely open field makes shot variety a real challenge though. It’s a fun track to practice your 200, 240, and 270 foot shots though. When some of the trees grow in it will be a bit better.

Colonsay is a fantastic course. I have played the course one time. They spent $15k on 18 Discraft baskets. They have young trees, elevation varieties, and a very well thought out course. Fairways are cut and weeds are abundant in the rough. Bring bug spray, and if you don't like bugs, stay out of the rough. The baskets have the arrows that point more or less to the next tee box. I went with a couple locals who showed me the way. They do however, have the paths cut to the next tee boxes. Suggestions: some of the crap needs to be moved away from some of the tee boxes. Allow as much room as possible around your tee boxes. Overall, this course is going to turn into a fantastic course because they have people dedicated to building it and maintaining it. It's a nice little gem in the rough on the way to Murray's. Show these people some love, and stop by their course. You won't regret it.
