Very nice course, long but pars are very forgiving.

This course has undergone some massive improvements over the last few years and is much more polished than in the past. The first 11 holes here are legitimately awesome and definitely 4.5 or 5 star material, but the course unfortunately loses steam fast after that due to some layout issues. First, holes 12, 16, 17, and 18 all have a pretty high risk of pedestrians coming into play. 10 and 11 also suffer from this off the tee. Hole 12 and 13 also seem to share a fairway partially and hole 13s purple doesn’t really make sense as it’s harder than the gold IMO. Hole 13 in general needs reworked as the way you’re pointed on the tee is a terrible place to throw your disc to get to either pin from either pad. Hole 14 is good and hole 15 doesn’t have anything bad besides a bit boring. However 16 to the end is rough and feels risky to play when the park is busy. The course essentially plays itself back into a corner (14 gold) without any way to play 4 good holes back to the start. Last I’ll also mention that you don’t see purple bands on courses for a reason. They are quite difficult to see in the wooded portions of the course. If the latter portion of the course could get reworked to bring less pedestrian risk into play and offer a bit more of a challenge and this course will be one of the tops in the KC metro but as is it’s on the outside looking in.
