Incredible woods course with a lot of variety in shot shapes and demands accuracy in hitting gaps and landing zones. Really technical but fair par 4s and 5s that don’t require bomber distance but reward long woods shots with easier approaches. Lines in the woods are really clear but you can scramble through the rough. Overall one of the best woods courses I’ve played.

Man this has been an amazing addition to our local DG scene and it just gets better the more it gets played. The amount of work and thought that was put into this course is amazing. I would say that this course is probably gonna be most enjoyable for the avid disc golfer looking for a challenge I could see it being a little frustrating for a beginner. So this review is for the golfers who want a challenge!! First of all this place is gorgeous. It’s tightly wooded and plays in the woods surrounding a beautiful ball golf course. It’s not park style course it definitely has some length to it so bring some good shoes, waterproof if possible because it does stay wet in some places. Don’t expect many ace runs but there are 4-5. There are a lot of holes 500+ and you will need to utilize all your shots. Accuracy is a must and getting off the fairway can be punishing but smart play and placement shots will save your score. I play there a lot and I rarely have people breathing down my neck which I love, it’s so peaceful and scenic and having so much variety in shots needed it’s a great place to work on some stuff. I usually spend 3-4 hrs out there throwing multiple shots and then multiple upshot’s and just work on my game and there aren’t a lot of courses you can do that. The tee pads are great the signage is great there are arrows on baskets to show you which way the next tee is but there may be some places where UDisc might help you get to the next hole and to know where the basket is on blind holes. It’s really one of my favorite places and I can’t imagine anyone thinking it’s boring so go check it into asap!!’
@tenaciousbri
Beautiful wooded course with challenging shots alongside ball golf course.
@jedwavis
What a gem! Great woods golf. Every hole has a fair lane to take, albeit most are tight. Only two holes (big sweeping backhand hyzers) dont have a good shot to get it to circle one. Definite must play. Definitely coming back!!
@jwfarris
Great course. Several very challenging holes. Needs garbage cans.
@benaltmire
Extremely tough course. Every fairway is 8 ft or less. Fun but challenging
@javaman
Not recommended after heavy rain. Beautiful winding holes through heavy wooded forest. Great views across the adjacent Golf Course, which is not in play at all. A stretch of 3-4 holes 8-11 have steep slopes and does require care and fitness. Newer course that should get even better with drainage in low lying areas, as it ages.
@sprintermatt
Really nice wooded course in the woods of a golf course. This is how you integrate disc golf and golf.

Chimney Hills is located on a beautiful property with fairways carved in mature forests. Nice amenities and signage. Brand new Discatchers and turf tee pads with a restrooms access via porta potties. However, this course leaves much to be desired in my opinion. There are a lot of fairways that don’t match the flight of a disc. A number of holes that just randomly dog leg at weird angles off the fairway. A section of holes where baskets rest on 30-40 degree slopes. Some of the turf teepads are very lumpy making run-ups difficult. Overall, Holes 1-8 were pretty good, 9-15 is the odd stretch that left me scratching my head, followed by 16-18 finishes on a good note. Hole 18 ends between 2 of the golf course fairways. Be careful crossing back to the parking lot. Feedback based on Red tees. This course has the all the makings to be such an awesome course, but comes up rather short.
@jackbees12
Excellent pro level course. Great tee pads. Insanely challenging. Rewarding to the accurate.
@henryastyron
Tough Pro course from longs. I constantly find myself having to deal with my mental game out here. My new home course ! This course will make you cuss. Haha
@jadonmain
Fantastic course, 18 holes of NC style wooded golf with good use of terrain, reminiscent of Angry Beaver over in Charlotte. It is probably the most wooded course in the area, and demands some smart play and precise gap hitting. Most of the holes are pretty fair, though a couple require you to really bend a disc on hyzer kinda unrealistically (Holes 9 and 16 come to mind, especially 9, which seems to be a near impossible angle). My favorite hole was 11, which demands a big downhill tee shot through the woods. It’s a new course and has that rough not beat in/recently cleared feel, but give it a couple years and maybe some slight changes and it’ll be a staple in the area.
@ahoapap
Benches on all holes and this becomes five star. I know it will get there, as you can tell a lot of love and hard work went into this by the residents of Burlington. Burlington city, open your purse strings for this wonderful place
@jplovette
Fun and challenging track. Lots of tight gaps to hit off the tee. Maybe a few too many straight or rhbh favoring shots.
@jawa336
Tee pads are large and turf. Classic NC style wooded and technical. Must be accurate to score well. The course sits in the woods between a ball golf course.
@clark1209
This course has a lot of potential. Very fun and well designed for the most part. Solid for a brand new course. 5-6 holes need trees cleared for defined fairways. Some of the holes feel very “poke and pray”. A few of the turf tees have settled at the front end. I definitely foresee myself increasing this rating as this courses evolves.
@kendallf
Tee Shots are fun, but too much luck after first gaps (could just remove a few trees on most holes, then add OB, and would be just as difficult without luck involved).
@eaglemcbob
Course is looking great!! Recently trimmed up and looks amazing 😎👍!!
@bradsmith
This course gets better and better each time I play it! Even though it’s brand new and completely in the woods, it plays like a well seasoned course
