Beautiful but challenging course. They did a great job building this course and making it into something special. Highly recommend

I walked up to the long tee anticipating a battle, a battle against the course itself. It was evident that this day wasn’t going to be easy, and that I would have to fight to protect my ego. From hole 1, I experienced the unforgiving difficulty of Challenger. We exchanged punches, and blow-after-blow I was beat down. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I could see the end of the tunnel. A glimmer of hope rushed through my mind. I could make it. Using all the remaining energy and will-power I had left in my tank, I limped across the finish line. I had done it. I conquered Challenger. Then, just as I thought I had escaped from its hands, I realized I was only on hole 6. 5 stars.

Great course! Needs a little more signage in between holes. If you don’t have UDisc you might have some trouble finding the next tee at some holes. Nice shot variety, with a mix of shot shapes needed. Players without big shot distance of the tee might struggle on a couple holes to make par. From the short tees a good mix of par 3, 4, and a par 5 in the back half. This course has great potential to be one of the best in the area.

@bighig67
Great course, mix of all shots. Long, short, tight, open, big elevation, The rough is nasty.

@texican
Challenger 7 Short tees exceeded my expectations. Short tee layout is shorter than Brock Mod, but in my opinion offers a greater variety of shots and challenges. The big arms will find opportunities to air it out, but the course rewards disciplined controlled tight lines, controlled height, hitting narrow gaps and an ability to scramble well from the inevitable lies in the dense rough. Your round will involve walking about 95% of the Long course, so plan for a longer than normal round between total walking distance and challenging holes. A cart is manageable, but the newly cut fairways are not always the most cart friendly at times. Several well constructed footbridges aid where needed. I second the longer pants and sleeves recommendation if you're prone to playing from the rough, else there will be blood. As a 850/185 player, I think +2 to +4 a stretch goal for me and a +5 to +7 is achieveable on a good day. A big thanks to the countless voluteer hours it took to build this gem of a course on the Southside.

@texashiroms
Differently one of the best courses in the Houston area. Play the shorts fun but challenging

@herrera71681
Very advanced course, prepare to be humbled! Even playing the short tees I would rate this as a hard intermediate course. If you play the longs prepare to finish well above par unless you’re 950 rated or higher. The roughs are very punishing so stay in the fairways and wear long sleeves and pants if possible. Played the day after the rain and it wasn’t really muddy or hard to find good footing so definitely a plus. Just need to watch for large mulch and branch debris to ensure you don’t roll an ankle. Semi cart friendly and you’ll need to use U-disc in order to find your way around the course for the first time. Actual bathrooms available and benches all over the park but not a lot of places to sit along the course. All and all considered I would recommend!

@blakedg
If you are struggling with any part of your game, this course is sure to help. Litterly any shot shape you wanna throw is there. Weather on the a or b position, short or long tee, lots to love. Short to short just harder then Briscoe, long to long, more like a pro tour course. Highly highly recommend

@cglos409
Such a fun and challenging course! The stroll through the wooded areas and tricky gaps to hit are as fun as they are intimidating. Shoutout to everyone involved in the making of this course, Austin, Roy, and of course Ben. Also any volunteers that put in the man power to get this course to where it is now. Yall knocked it out of the park. Definitely one of the favorites going forward for sure!

@tomjtm
This course needs to be cleaned up. There’s 4 inch pieces of wood everywhere to trip on and turn an ankle. It appears to be made for pros. If you can’t throw at least 400 feet through a 10 foot tunnel then you’re going to be weeding through thornbushes to find your disk. I don’t recommend for anybody unless they love distance and can throw accurately. Regardless, be sure to wear protective clothing or you will bleed.
