Final edit: if you've seen my original review you know of the grievances I and many have had with the course. So instead of a book of nothing but complaining, I've decided to narrow it down like this as others have. Pros- •It seems the staff and more people higher up are starting to warm up to the course a bit more after several conversations. •There are some fun lines out here for the MA2ish-MA1 crowd. •The course is pretty well maintained for the short time its been around and I believe it'll "clean itself up" as time passes. •The location is nice in that its close enough to other courses and theres plenty of food options near by. •The distances allow you to stretch your legs to say the least. Cons-(Unfortunately longer) •No shorter pads as of Apr. 6 24. •No restrooms/water access. •Not Dog friendly. •Frequently very windy. •Many holes have concrete VERY much so "in play". Which absolutely chews up discs. •Theres going to be problems on quite a few holes that will either cause issues with the school and a player or just doesnt make for very good disc golf. These were some I've noted in the 4 rounds I've played thus far. -Hole 1. Discs will 100% hit those windows and go up on that roof. -Hole 4. Seems like someones property to the right and given that the play is cutting that corner as tight as possible, people are gonna put it over that fence and into that building. If thats someones property, its highly likely to cause issue. -Holes 6, 7 ,8 , 9, and 10. 6 just isnt a disc golf hole. Its a sawed off up shot at best. 7 plays as a 3 and you either need a 550+ hyzer or 450+ on a frozen rope through a door sized gap. If you cant reasonably attack a hole for birdie, its a bad hole. 8 is 6 but 20 feet longer and the other direction. And 9 is 10 without a tree to the left. The shot variety leaves a lot to be desired there and feels like blatant filler holes. -Hole 11. Putting a basket RIGHT next to a conrete and steel grate that will chew up discs just feels not... Smart... 😅 -Holes 12-13. These are going to cause the most issue for sure... it's two holes over a species protected pond with electric wires and pumps in them along with snapping turtles. Theres signs surrounding it stating youre not even allowed to use a retrieval device to get a disc. Security has removed people over this already. These holes are fun for mid-high skill players but a nightmare logistically for both the school and golfers. Aside from the pond, hole 12 finishes to the left for RHBH throwers and the electric meters at circles edge to the left will inevitably be hit and damaged. -Hole 14. Those windows are at risk for being hit as well. Along with discs on the roof. -Hole 15. Basket is too close to the road. The hill lends to a skip easily pressing into the road. Wind makes messing up easier, the consequences higher, and increases the odds of these things happening. -Hole 16. The windows and the roof to the left, again. The shot (unless you have a sub 5 percentile forehand) is a tall panning anhyzer and the two misses there are grip locks or early releases that pan out RIGHT to those windows and that roof. -Hole 17. That bowl to the left is gonna be shin deep with sludge water 8 months out of the year. With all this being said, I hope that some changes can be made to some of these holes. The shot variety and scorability is one thing, but no one wants to hit a window or not be able to retrieve a disc two feet off a shoreline. These types of things can cause serious friction between a school and disc golfers and give people who dont know/care about disc golf a reason to hate it. The first time one of those windows gets broken, the corresponding basket will be trash bagged until its moved far away from the building. I guarantee it. Nobody wants to be in that position on either side.

Yes, it’s not perfect, but it’s a solid course with good distance challenges for the more advanced player. Has some shorter holes appealing to shorter throwers. Mostly wide open shots with OB nearby. Good distance challenge compared to the other courses in town. 2 pond holes are daunting for beginner players, so play those accordingly. Some tee pad repair will be coming. Overall it’s a fun, longer course appealing to the bomber type player. Very tough in the wind.

Really fun course, but next to some roads, daycare, private property, and parking lots that make it a little more dangerous to play in my opinion. Fun shot choices and design though!

I like the course layout in general, the variety of distance, wooded or open. However, I think several baskets proximity to the main road is problematic both for players and for traffic. Hole 12 and 13 just shouldn't exist given the circumstances of the pond. I'd like to say this would be my new regular course, but until the issues with course layout and the school staff/security get worked out, it just isn't worth going here regularly.

Lots of variety. Super fun open holes. About 1 and a half wooded holes, so just the right amount. Very fun course.

Pros: -Only local course you can Really pull out a driver and rip on a disc without fear of trees or Water. - Solid Variety of shots and distances, that will give your bag a decent workout. -College Campus is well Maintained. No high grass issues here. Neutral: Road in Play on multiple holes, BUT being a small technical college traffic isn't often in play... Just be aware of your surroundings when throwing. Cons: -General Lack of Amenities... No bathrooms, Benches, or water available. - Teepads are a little short for longer holes. Had to start off the back of multiple Teepads. -Hole 12/13 Pond Situation (No diving Or Pole Retrievers allowed).... Local Club is aware of these issues, and is trying to work on a solution.... This is Definitely a Very New course, and some of the finer details are being worked out with the college as they learn Exactly what disc golf is... As this area still isn't super familiar with the sport. Course has the potential to be 4+ Stars... But a few of the finer details on the course still need to be cleaned up.

For reference of my skill level, first time playing main layout: +6 with some birdies, and some bogies. Overall its a good course, despite the cons I discuss below. There's not a ton of variety within the course but it adds variety to the area overall. Pros: • Many holes are very open and lend to distance throwing, which isn't common on CP or Rozar. • The fairways are well maintained, and I don't see that changing in the future. • Signage is extremely accurate and helpful. • Notes on UDisc are very thorough. • Hole 6 is very unique and somewhat technically challenging, requiring a precise throw. • Most holes are accurately rated for par. Birdie is achievable on a few, and quite challenging on the rest. Cons: • Lack of amenities: water, trash cans, benches. • The basket 'strikezone' feels a bit off. The actual basket part seems taller than most, and the chains seem a bit stiff and don't interlink at all. Just be a bit more cautious on your putts. • Some baskets are close to buildings, roads, and sidewalks. It's a mixed use area though and as long as people are cautious and aware of their surroundings, it's not too daunting. • Not having an assurance that discs will be periodically removed from the pond at 12/13 creates a level of fear that prevents the holes from being played as intended. • Hole 7's tee is in a bad location. It doesn't lend itself to right or left handed players. There's a dead pine tree right in the line to the basket, forcing you to go to the right. There's low points in front of and beyond the walking path, which will be fine at dryer points in the year, but a nightmare during rainy periods. • Hole 13 is just not good. Ignoring the fact discs aren't retrievable, the placement of the tee, the trees in the way, the grate near the landing zone, and the road being right behind the basket make this hole almost impossible to play as intended. It can be done, but it is by far safer to go around to the right and that will be my primary line, and probably most others too. • Hole 17 will be risky if there's a high level of water in the retention pond, but I believe still playable and enjoyable.

Beautiful course but not very beginner friendly. Wish there was an alt layout to skip 12/13 since we’re not allowed to get our discs out of the pond.

The course was great. It is still a work in progress, but I really enjoyed playing the course. As a forehand dominant player, some of the shots are really long for me. It is a great course to play.

So the course seams super fun… but my group and I got to basket 6 and got swarmed my Jurassic mosquitos! They were the size of quarters and they were everywhere. Granted we played it may 23rd, so maybe the winter it will be died down. But it was not pleasant, bring bug spray, and CGTC, maybe do a double treatment of pest control haha! Overall fun course tho, it is nice and new.

I played the course a couple of times before reviewing to really try to find the positives in everything. I enjoy the fact that this is the only course in the general area that you can throw a driver on. There are a couple of shots that are fun. That’s unfortunately about the extent of my positives, as it feels like you throw the same shot over and over again on a bunch of holes. It feels like a few holes are forced in, that shouldn’t be there. Holes 6,7, and 8 are all poorly designed, in my opinion. 6 is a short chip shot with OB 15 feet on every side of the basket, after you’ve been throwing drivers. Just not a great flow. Hole 7 is a 550 foot hyzer with no clear line. I’m okay with holes where par is a good score, but this hole is bad. There are a lot of complaints about the water holes, I understand that’s not in the club or course designer control, so it is unfortunate, but I know people traveling through that have no affiliation with the locals will go into the water to retrieve discs, and if that is something the college may pull the course for, unfortunately, that will happen sooner than later. The course is a step in the right direction, but I think hiring a professional course designer would’ve been a good step. Putting concrete pads down before anyone actually played it was a bad move, in my opinion, as it’s now set in stone, and there aren’t many changes you can make. I was highly looking forward to this course, and will still play it, but to say it’s not a let down would be a lie.

Nice baskets, nice area, long, short, open , wooded, well kept, great test. Zero negatives unless griping and complaining is your thing

Leave out holes 1 & 14 it’s a really nice manicured course. Holes 1 and 14 are just boring wide open shots. They are also just distance checks.

Overall I love that there is a new course here in Central GA. Shots are fun for the most part with some filler here and there. The main thing holding this course back in my opinion are that there are a number of holes where if you mess up your shot you are almost guaranteed to lose a disc. Hole 4 past the trees is what looks like private property so if you end up grip locking tough luck Holes 12 & 13 I think are poorly designed. Water is fun and all, but having 2 holes where if you undershoot you lose a disc in the pond (no retrieval allowed) and if you over shoot you throw into a road seems very poorly thought out. I'm extremely worried someone is going to throw into oncoming traffic one day so that they don't accidently land in the pond. Nobody wants that. I hope this course continues to improve. While I've been negative, I know both CGTC and HCDG have been working hard and I appreciate that massively.

Great course. Lots of easy shots for beginners. Interesting variety of beginner to advanced holes. Hole 6 is too easy while hole 7 will have you scratching your head while you're on the pad. Overall a fun experience!!

Potential to be the best course in the area now. Good variety of shot types and thoughtful pin locations on most holes, all on the beautiful CGTC campus. The course appeals to higher skilled players, making it a good contrast to the other courses in the area.

Overall a very fun course that is great for just about all skill levels. Thank you thank you thank you for getting Innova baskets!!! Caution on certain holes, there are school buildings, cars, and students to keep an eye out for.
