@jomama
Watch your step! Lots of rocks and tree roots. Decent tee pads, good signage, lots of distance between some holes.
@nbusk24
Practice basket: Yes, in the field next to the parking lot with the throwing net Parking situation: Medium sized lot, more parking further down Number of holes: 18 Difficulty level: Intermediate+ (requires accuracy off tee with shaping shots) Cart friendly: Yes, some spots are a little rocky Water Dangers: Yes, Hole 8 you’re throwing up to the lake, Hole 9 you throw over the lake, and Hole 10 you throw next to the lake Other Dangers: Spider webs and other park goers Bathrooms/Water Fountains: Yes to both, there’s one building next to Hole 1 and another building next to Hole 8 Tee areas: Rubber mats and all of them have a broom Benches: A few, definitely needs more Trashcans: At the building with the bathrooms Signage/Wayfinding: Plenty of signs, get a little confusing when it crosses the horse trails Overall Rating: 4/5 Rating Reason: It’s a decent course with lots of shot shaping and some elevation change while keeping it fun and hard. Some holes need to be trimmed back a bit to be more open while others just need some trimming to keep it looking clean, having 2 different places to use the bathroom or get water was nice as well as having brooms on the tee boxes. Would recommend this as a Fall/Winter course as it does get buggy and humid during the warmer days. Improvements: Adding more benches, updating the tee signs, trimming some stuff back on and off the fairways Other Notes: Bring bug spray as it’s quite buggy and some waterproof shoes if it rained recently, Also cost $4 to play (park entrance fee)
@scottduren
Smokey smell strong in some areas. Wet but walkable. Fun course.
@mstrjollo
Intermediate course. Great facility. Don’t get caught behind the gate when they close.
@twhite124
Don’t get lulled to sleep by the first few holes. The par 4s and 5s on this course are frustrating in the best way. Played the blue tees and they require you to hit specific landing zones otherwise you’re most likely scrambling to save par or get a birdie look. Decent little hike. Pretty rocky with a few longer walks between holes. It’s an hour drive for me but certainly with the trip. Hiking/horse trails run throughout the course so could see that being a nuisance during busier months.
@stealthcorp
Beautiful. I’d love to see it in the summer versus fall with all the leaves down but still a challenging course all around!
@ironborn
The course has fantastic signage and the views are great. Unfortunately, all of that is lessened by the tee pads which are made of thick gym mats. I can’t see paying $4 again to play on gym mats.
@mattmarkham
This could be the gold standard for beautiful and relaxing courses. There are some breath taking views along the lake. Not to mention the spectacular trees lining the fairways here. UDisc map could use some help.
@peterjerome
First time in this course. It’s in a beautiful park. This course exceeded my expectations. It’s a bit technical, good variety of shot selection, good variety of distances, and nice scenery. tee pads are rubber, won’t tear up your shoes, for those who drag their toes, like me. The distances are a bit off in many and way off on a couple holes. One water carry, not too difficult. By far the best signage of any course I’ve played. Walking and equestrian trails intersect at points but clear signage is up to designate the disc golf course. I WILL be back.
@krenzzi
Distance on tee signs seem off but over all great wooded course. A few fairways could use a few trees removed to make the lines a bit better.
@heathryan17
Amazing course. A beautiful getaway from Charlotte and an amazing hiking experience. A beautiful lake and’s even horse trails along the trails. It is definitely a great course if you are looking for more of an advanced course this is your spot. The course has amazing pads well maintained,they provide brooms to sweep throughout. Bathrooms on hole 1 & 8. Benches to rest at most holes. The best part it’s never too crowded. Hope you check out this DiscGolf course
@pakgila
Great scramble course. Lots of trees. Would have liked more holes where you can just bomb a disc, but these were fun and technical.
@ptaylor
Seemed great, though the park closed its gates at 5pm, just a heads up. If rains a lot of Mosquito
@joncourville
This course has a lot of potential with about 5 to 10 holes that need some improvements made.
