Caliber is one of those special treasures we have been gifted as disc golfers. Paul has carved out a course that is truly world class and has done so on a property that most would not dare take on the challenge of cutting out a disc golf course on. Everything at Caliber is done with purpose and detail from the hand painted tee signs to the removal of specific trees and labeling of others. The design is impeccable and the variety of layout options makes for 2 very different levels of challenge. My only piece of advice when playing caliber would be to play in a group and utilize spotters. I played alone twice on caliber and once on motherlode and probably spent 3 hours looking for discs, most of which were in or barely off the fairway. This is due to thick vegetation that makes finding discs tough. I wouldn’t call the course overgrown but there is enough greenery to justify using a spotter whenever possible. Definitely the best course in Idaho and it makes a strong argument for being one of the best in the world. I wouldn’t fault anyone for putting it in their top 10 or even top 5 as it really does check all the boxes. Can’t wait to come back in 10 years to see how Motherlode beats in over time!
