About the course

Bukit Indah Roundabout, technically challenging with some longish fairways, is where disc golf was born in Malaysia. Situated in a popular park within a roundabout, so be careful of fellow park users and when teeing near roads. While regularly landscaped, drainage issues mean some fairways will be muddy and/or uneven, so exercise caution and wear appropriate footwear. Established in 2018 by Eric Grover and Jenna Tan.

History

Eric Grover and Jenna Tan set up Malaysia's first public disc golf course in mid-2018 when they moved to her hometown of Bukit Indah and found that the nearest DGCs were pop-ups in Singapore. The couple, whose first date was to a disc golf course in Grover's home state of Ohio, fashioned makeshift baskets out of plastic food covers (locally known as "tudung saji"). They eventually got a local welder to produce permanent steel baskets that still serve the course. Grover and Tan would go on to build about a dozen public courses around greater Johor Bahru, four of which are still in play.

Really cool city course with great variations! Some really touchy shots and some long power shots. The first ever course in JB and built by Mr. Eric Grover!

The Course have been updated since last year, and yes it is better with steel/metal basket. New layouts. The new course has a, A and B layout. Both with 9 holes each. Great place for disc golf, with countless of f&b nearby and a mall. Definitely recommended if you’re in jb!
