Real talk from an out of towner on some super helpful tweaks to upkeep: - Removing “unused” baskets would make for far easier Wayfinding. Traffic cones not matching with UDisc smart course. - unless it’s indexed to Anthony Barella, more leniency on pars would be helpful. No, 450 ft. Isn’t a par 3.
@marshallarts
Great course; a welcome change of scenery from lots of courses that look and feel the same throughout greater PHX. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy this desert mountain course.
@cntbg23
Tough open course over tough terrain with amazing views. A lot of fun!
@screwattack
Many holes should be more than a par 3. Don’t bring your good discs. High risk of damage if/when they hit the gravel and stones. udisc needed for some holes as it’s hard to see the basket.
@alexhallumsdisc
Big desert course with lots of elevation. Not the most cart friendly. Lots of rocky terrain & elevation changes. 2.5 miles hike, bring lots of water! Also not much shade out here either. I can imagine this course is a beast in the summer heat. Overall, a fun place to let loose. Lots of distances shots. Great views. Worth a visit!
@brianphillips
Back 9 much more enjoyable than the front.. elevation changes more so in the back 9.. old tee signs, cememt pads have to much grip.. nice scenery with the rolling hills Front 9 has more brush and bushes
@isuaggie
Wide open dusty desert course with some elevation and mounding. Lots of long par 3s. Lots of up and down the hill. Lots of Destroyers off the tee. Enjoyed the elevation holes the most.
@mduerr1471
Desert courses just aren’t fun, but this is a good desert course.
@donut360
Gorgeous area and probably more fun for return rounds but, as a first timer, very frustrating. Lots of holes with blind shots and multiple baskets so lots of scouting ahead to see where to go. Also, the blanket par 3 for everything, regardless of distance, is just dumb.
@sunshinebr0
Needs next tee signs/new tee signs. Other than that, this course is an ABSOLUTE gem! Would be very happy to call this my home course if I lived close by. Course will eat your discs alive, but that’s what they’re for! Not base plastic friendly!
@templink
very interesting desert course with cacti and rocks. Good use of elevation for up/downhill throws. Forgiving due to lack of trees yet challenging enough to keep it fun.
@tomsdiscgolf
2 baskets per hole is awsome, especially the long uphill shots that will test the strong arms. Disc finding wasn't a problem. Wayfinder arrows would make this 4.5 stars.
@hansen987
Playing this course requires knowing the basket placements. The limited signage is vague. The basket in use is hard to spot even with the traffic come that is not orange anymore. The course would be fun if it was easier to navigate.
@themarkopollo
Probably the worst course in Phoenix. Don’t waste your time
@lesfritz
Tougher than it looks especially with all the blind holes Sont guess, scour!
@danny928
One of my favorite courses. Very challenging. Rocky, lot of elevation changes, and any amount of wind will greatly affect drives. Good average distance/per hole overall (300+).
@thedavemac
Big fat rattlesnake spotted under the basket under basket 14/23. Very aggressive! Be VERY careful when climbing that hill. Don't take the steep route. Take the long way around so you don't get bit on the forehead as your head pops up over the peak. I came very close to getting bitten. It was coiled up, mouth open, head at about knee height. Ready to strike. Daaaaaamn!
