If you're looking for an unforgettable disc golf experience, Buckthorn is the place to be. Nestled in beautiful farmland with rolling hills, beautiful trees, and clear blue skies, this course is the perfect blend of nature and challenge. From the first tee, you’ll notice how creatively designed the layout is, offering a variety of hole types that keep your throws interesting and challenging from start to finish. The course features 18 holes with a mix of open fairways and technical wooded sections that will test your accuracy and arm strength. The front nine offers a fair share of open holes with a few well-placed obstacles that require strategic shots, while the back nine takes you deeper into the forest, with tighter lanes and some uphill and downhill challenges. Every hole feels unique, offering its own set of obstacles, whether it’s a narrow tunnel of trees or a hillside you have to navigate. The baskets are in excellent condition, and the tee pads are large, level, and made of concrete that provides space to throw. Clear signage at each hole ensures you know where you're headed. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, Buckthorn offers a fun and challenging experience. The course maintenance is awesome. The fairways are well-mowed, and the wooded areas are clear enough to allow for good visibility but still offer the challenge of navigating through the trees. The natural beauty of the area is simply stunning. Whether it’s the sound of birds chirping, the rustle of the wind through the leaves, or the peaceful views of the cows gazing in the pasture , playing here feels like being immersed in nature. The course is extremely quiet, which makes for a serene and focused round. Overall, Buckthorn Disc Golf Course is an absolute gem. It’s a must-visit for any disc golfer looking for a diverse, challenging, and scenic course. Whether you're in it for the competition or just to enjoy a relaxing round with friends, this course delivers an exceptional experience. Can't recommend it highly enough! I have added this course to my top 5 favorite!
