Bring back Brock Gold.

The park is really nice with some beautiful river views and it was well maintained. We were there just before lunch on a Friday but the huge park was curiously underused. We saw one person walking and one other group of discgolfers. Maybe it is normal during office hours. We started on the Texas State layout because it seemed the best choice from reading on U-Disc even though it wasn’t marked physically. We got confused quickly. Distances and basket placements weren’t quite right; and we could find no descriptions of what was obviously meant to be OB on a course of this level. We gave up and started over on the layouts that were marked physically on the course with proper tees and signs with maps and OB-descriptions. The confusion was the same though, baskets were just missing here and there which made it impossible to keep score in a consistent manner. We had a nice day tossing some plastic in a nice park but it was not the experience we had hoped for. My advice to outside visitors would be to go somewhere else or make sure to verify that U-Disc has been updated. Finding a local to play with would of course work as well.

Use the Brock Mod Layout, NOT shorts or longs.
@aaron2298
Literal waste high grass makes it currently unplayable. You’ll have at least five mosquitoes on you at all times. Absolutely terrible upkeep
@scott1965
Very long grass. Must have UDisc to find holes.
@timrbass
Most solid course in Houston overall imo. Very nice with lots of variety, great layout, teepads, and tee signs. Current layout is Brock MOD! If you play shorts or longs, then you will have many holes that don’t have baskets in place.
@bfizzle
Brock mod is the definitive way to play this park. Please keep it!
@oreomcflurry17
Fun course on a golf course. 4 stars from me just because there were a lot of similar holes and everything looked very similar since it’s all on the golf course
@winsultan
Hole 16 missing tee sign - great signage throughout and fun course
@joshuajgibbons
Beautiful park style course, well maintained and good tees. A lot of walking for a lot of sub 300 foot holes and lack of shot shape.
@gusdid
Wonderful course, love the tee signs and the tee pads. Well designed and such a beautiful area . Love everything about it A++
@glenadyll
Fresh mow
@nickcarrolldisc
Absolutely love this course. One of the best in or around Houston. It’s a must play if you’re in town.
@dauminator
Still pretty wet today but definitely playable. Tried the Texas MOD layout, I think a few baskets got moved because I couldn’t find them. Fair amount of mosquitos. Kind of like Evergreen with a little less upkeep.
@jordanmcmoon
Excellent course. Park on 7, main lot closed until April 2022.
@catherineleach
Very soggy right now but playable. Bring extra shoes and socks
@ceedub86
Great baskets, cool lines... might lose some discs, especially if grass is high
