@gohmanopolis
This course is INSANE. Mostly bomber shots with some technicals in there. If you’re just Lubbock it’s a must go to. Great shot variety and good scenery. BRING WATER. It’s a long course
@gunnuh
Great course!! Super long, beautiful, tons of prairie dogs, only 2 fairways that are a little rough. Bring water
@bigben721
I had to walk back through several holes to get to the next hole
@nukabotz
Clean up the lake
@neillburt
Great course. Lots of trash.
@handy95
Wow. Crazy hard course! Fun lines, lots of different lines, so much fun!
@jdalglish
Great course. Upkeep is terrible.
@hunter0525
A must play PRO course! Big arms only and be ready for a good walk!
@frasier
Great course, a difficult test but always a fair one. They are not kidding about big and long, it’s quite a hike, bring water. My favorite part is how well the designers incorporated local features and flora. The course feels quintessentially Lubbock.
@jordank420
Not a course for beginners! This was the hardest course I’ve ever played. Make sure your throws are accurate there are many spots you can lose a disk.
@evcorder
Challenging course with either tight fairways or long distances. Fun, but a long walk to get through. Definitely don’t play as your first disc golf outing.
@zbix00
This course is LONG! Lots of open bomber style holes, and big distance is your friend if you have it. Holes that aren’t open are very technical, and if you miss your line you’ll end up in moderately thick brush. There’s a river in play on the back nine, though it’s not directly in most fairways. Prairie dogs love this course! Watch your footing throughout, as their holes could easily trip you. In some places, they’ve weakened the ground, making some sketchy footing if you catch a soft spot. Blind baskets are marked by tall flag poles, and signage to the next tee is there, but faded on most holes.
@baileyatg
Good course! Challenging but not unrealistically so. Some of the tee boxes were confusing and different than what’s on UDisc.
@jtseymore
Longest course in West Texas. Excellent use of trees, elevation, and difficult (but reasonable) lines.
@combescure
Great course, very difficult and unforgiving if you miss your lines. The long layout is very challenging, with some rewarding shorter holes mixed in for some birdie opportunities. The long layout definitely plays in favor of longer throwers with control. The baskets - well at least they look nice, even though they could be made a lot better. All in all I think if you can do well here, (especially in the wind) then you can compete with the majority of players in todays game.
@batess
Amazing course that challenges you to have different shot shaping skills. This course has everything from short technical to 1000+ bombers, with a mix of elevation changes. There's breathtaking views and lots of challenges. And if you don't have 3-4 hours to throw a round there's another course that plays around the river that's "shorter", but just as challenging and breathtaking. Its 1st hole tee pad is probably less than 200 feet to the right of Big Mack's 1st hole tee pad. There's even another course (Mae Simmons) around the corner (basically), that is short and technical. This is a must play though! And best of all, right in between Mae Simmons and MacKenzie Park is the greatest disc golf store in town, Disconnect Disc Golf! This place is a must visit too! It's a huge property with a pro shop, lounge areas, and even a short putting course with hanging baskets and lots of elevation changes! They even sell plants! And the owners (Laney and Jenny) are 2 of the greatest people you will ever meet! Best of all, it's right across the street from the Main entrance into both MacKenzie Park disc golf courses (710 East Broadway)!
