@jfehlman55
I really like the new layout. Remember that it is brand new and needs usage & tuning. Lines in the woods need clean-up. Too many branches blocking routes. More course work and this will be amazing.
@nbusk24
Practice basket: No Parking situation: A small/medium lot Number of holes: 18 Difficulty level: Intermediate+ (requires accuracy and power off tee) Cart friendly: Yes for the most part Water Dangers: Yes, a few holes have a creek Other Dangers: Thorns Bathrooms/Water Fountains: Not sure Tee areas: Almost nonexistent, holes 5-16 have whiskers to mark the tee with everything else being dirt Benches: No Trashcans: No Signage/Wayfinding: A few signs, best to use UDisc tho Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Rating Reason: It has a good mix of open and wooded holes, you can tell they just started working on it and updating it so I’m sure it’ll get better with time, there’s still a lot to do with the wooded holes and cleaning those up, would play again if in the area Improvements: Concrete tees, updated tee signs, adding benches & trashcans, cleaning up the green of hole 14, trimming back some limbs Other Notes: Make sure to bring a sacrificial disc or two
@jtorres97
Needs alot of work to be up to par with all the top level courses we have in the area and beyond. Can be a Gem with the right crew to do maintenance and upkeep and get it to where it needs to be for a Solid Course.
@nathanwilliams
Really like the changes they've made with the new layout. Much better variety of shots. I think with some time and upkeep, it will be a fantastic course.
@k1ngke1th
Has a lot of potential. New layout is hard and has a lot of long par 3s. Needs tee pads and a good amount of course work to make it worth playing. Some of the lines are questionable
@supergolferr
Much improved new design with a great variety. Wide open shots with enough trees to keep it interesting followed closely by long tunnel wooded holes. Kick off the fairway and you are in for a scramble, no elegant rough on brash new redesign. Many thanks to Joe for getting this put in, it's a fantastic addition to the area.
@damac82
More problems than solutions. WONDERFUL piece of property…but design is lacking. Very much needs TLC, but that’s unrealistic since it is not near a lot of disc golfers. The area by holes 9-12 is majestic, but poorly used. Could be 4.5-5 with proper funding and love.
@mitchdog09
Great park, fantastic property, terrible course design. This could be the #1 open course near Charlotte if the baskets weren’t placed in such poor/unsafe spots. Long tees stretch the distance too much for par 3s and shorts are too simple. Not worth the trip
@kwiksilver91
No tee pads. Hard to know where the basket is and tees are. Still fun tho
@mstrjollo
Good course to air it out. Several obstructions like a playground and gardening hut make it tough to play if people are in the area. Also 11 long has a blind tee shot around a walking path. Spotters needed so pedestrians don’t get hit.
@mattydakeg
Nice easy open course
@hawkgreg
Would not recommend this course unimpressive, would not play afain
@caseybb3
That creek is deep!
@heathryan17
Getting better every time we comeback to this park really a great daily practice or new player course. I definitely recommend
@jmeehan631
Kinda meh. Hole 6 needs some limbing to have an actual line. Feel like a lot of shots call for a roller. Long tees not marked well or don't exist. Couple of holes throw over a chicken coop and playground, seems kinda dangerous. Play it if there is nothing else, but not worth playing more than once a year.
@geraltwitcher
WARNING! Very large yellow jacket nest under hole 16s basket. They will swarm and will attack! Bit me and my dog. There are new holes with a ton of broken glass everywhere. The course plays through the woods, and the woods aren't so safe.
@mahlie2019
Played yesterday for the first time, as it was dry out. The signage is great to have, but some baskets are in bad shape and need replaced. Course has some potential.
@storeyville
Looks like they’re starting to care for the course a little, again. New tee signs are in for short tees and some new baskets and new basket locations. Now, just need tee pads for shorts and tee markers, plus a few tee pads for longs. Will be a fun course if upkeep and few improvements are made. Throwing close to playground equipment on 16 is not a good idea (long tee) — they should look for a different option there.
