@yacos68
Awesome course except for the fire ants that are absolutely everywhere. Could only play 9 holes due to the amount fierce ants
@garryhobbs
Course has some great potential. However, it is not kept up at all and the ants are a serious issue. That being said, there are some well-thought-out holes and challenging lines from the blue tees..
@adamlarson99
Some good holes & some okay holes. Nice to have multiple tees & baskets
@jonbundy
Potentially a 5 star course. Fun variety of shots. Great Ace/Birdie Potential Although it's not the well beaten paths and polished tee areas im used to in Castle Hayne Park Wilmington, I know that this is likely a nicer course for eastern NC. The Downed tree on 1 (blue tee) is really the worst issue I found. Slightly overgrown, a little soggy, but tons of potential. Idk if the 🐜's can be helped, but it's not an exaggeration from others. It's pretty insane the amount of ants, but I think it's a pretty cool feature and should be their logo/course mascot. I played 18 holes with bare feet. Makes it exciting! Not as pristine as the app presents however. (Especially Blue Pads on 1, 12, 14) (Blue tees yellow baskets)

Last played about eight years ago and is still one of the best courses in eastern NC, and, without the crowds. Played today and really enjoy the downhill holes starting off with an ace on hole 1. The ridiculous par 3 with a forest of trees and no lines is still here but it doesn't make the entire course "poke and pray". It is one hole. The ants are the giant flying Upper Croatan ants, some standing 6' tall, whose antlers are poisonous to the touch. Locals say they will chase you and your family back to your car if you picnic on the 11th hole fairway. Advise not playing with your vintage wooden discs. And if you have a neck injury which prevents you from looking at the ground while you walk you may want to consider skipping this course.

Don’t know why this isn’t rated higher? Better course than most eastern Carolina courses with more variety and fun shots. Almost similar to some Charlotte courses. Back 9 has very challenging par 3’s…some that need trimming. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have some signage for the long tee pads.
@mrbuddyro
Come during the winter months. There were no ants anywhere when we played (march 1st). Everything was good, nothing spectacular, nothing bad. The course had scorecards, concrete pads, decent signage. I would definitely play again.
@kg3333333
poke and pray on many holes. very difficult from the blues. if you like to scramble from insanely bad lies after tree kicks, this is the course for you.
@ashtonhassan
Out-of-towner (visiting from Richmond, VA): Really, really enjoyed this course. Definitely felt like it favors LHBH or RHFH, which I am not, but every hole felt “fair”. I will confess to getting a bit turned around even with UDisc’s help, but I managed. A lovely mix of tight and open shots with beautiful views throughout. This course reminded me of home and was a great challenge. P.S. I saw the infamous ants everywhere but they gave me no trouble. Gnats were more of a nuisance.
@darnold77
Needs some signage for alt tees and boxes
@hughmlee
Lack of tee signs at blue pads and help getting from tee to tee made it difficult sometimes. Course has a lot of pretty holes. Lines on many holes are very very tight.
@golf4collet
Very difficult. Some fairways are literally 5 feet wide. Could use a little bit of cleaning up to make fairways easier to hit.
@gear47
Public course.... got what I expected
@larrythelegend
Unless you have the app the course can be tricky to navigate along with some benches that need repairs and some of the walk path/bridges too missing board soggy/weak boards
@etlaroque
Watch your footing, ants everywhere
@cstay10
Tight lines. Bring your bug spray for sure.
@mikefzzni
The address set in udisc brings you to the wrong park
@mikedoyle
Nice variety of short, tree-filled fairways, sandy creeks, and open glades. Some wet spots, but ground sandy so not deep mud anywhere. Great concrete pads throughout. Mix of red and blue pads good for families.
@hitsking
Summer time ants 🐜 are back, big ants that make the ground look like its moving and they bite. Other than that the course is great, well kept and clean.
