Lots of underbrush has been cleared in the fairways since a month ago. Also, nice concrete tee pads, tee signs, and 'next tee' arrows on baskets and trees. The front 9 is very playable now. Just needs some clearing of branches and stumps on the ground and underbrush off of the fairways. Lots of soft spots in the fairways currently due to everything being so new. Currently, hole 1-5's fairways and greens are looking pretty clean. Pros: Gardner finally has a course. Located in a nice, quiet area with a brook in play on at least 1 hole so far. Plenty of parking. Beginner friendly. Fun, casual half round for experienced players. Front 9 will help newer players ease into the sport. Two par 4's add some challenge. Long tees on 3, 4, & 8. Junior/senior/recreational tees. Free to play. The designer is involved and passionate about the course. Not very buggy. (In July at least) No poison ivy or oak that I've seen. Good tee signs. Nice tee pads. Next tee directional arrows. A good little hike through the woods. A lost & found box. Found discs can be picked up locally at John's Sports Shop in downtown Gardner. Steady construction progress by a couple of Gardner DPW workers. Will be an 18 hole course sometime in 2025. Cons: A couple holes have you backtracking through the same fairway to get to the next hole. A couple holes have fairly long walks to the next tee but, not a big issue, for me at least. No available porta potty/bathroom. Some greens and fairways are pretty rough still. Off fairway is full of thick underbrush. No benches at the tees. No trash cans on the course. (There's one in the parking lot however.) Seen 1 tiny deer tick nymph and 1 dog tick on me. (Out of several visits though and being in thick underbrush.) Might be a bit of a tough hike for those with mobility limitations. Some course and park property have been damaged by some neighborhood kids probably.

Disregarding the fact that this course isn’t finished, most of the fairways play on, alongside, across, and AT the primary walking trail. Not to mention some fairways are too close together, there’s a bench in the middle of hole 2’s fairway. This needs an overhaul before there’s a liability issue.

Still in development, so everything’s a bit rough. Easy to lose discs in the undergrowth. It takes a bit to find the next tee, but the signage helps. Be careful as there are some natural hazards.

Really nice little course. Will be awesome to have the full 18 once finished. Lots of fun holes with a variety of shots, fairly easy

Really fun course with a nice mix of shots and hole lengths. The back 9 is a work in progress but very much playable.

Very nice start! Beautiful course, challenging but gettable, very excited to come back and play the whole 18, I would remove one of the short holes and move to back nine to get rid of the backtracking through other holes and make it a longer hole on back 9

Came not expecting much and had a blast. Worth the time if you’re in the area, will absolutely be returning when there’s 18 in. Awesome work by whoever designed this place.

So far so good. If the back sets up as well as the first 9, it’ll be a gem. In a very residential area. Entrance comes up quickly, could use a sign. Great job so far.

Good signs and tees. Good distance ranges but not needing full bag for this course though. Very rough fairways. Had to take some time to find the discs in the thick rough. Use spotters if you are not an experienced player. I was there when they are still clearing the fairways and filling with wood chips. The basket’s numbers are facing wrong way which should be facing to the tee. Liked two hanging baskets but not sure how long these will stay because it can be removed very quickly by anyone. The downsides are long walk back to parking lot after finishing 9th hole. One hole requires you to take a long walk around the fairway after teeing off and one hole makes you to do double-back after teeing off. Overall, I’ll give some time and this course will be good to play!!
