About the course

NEW: Hole 4/13 bucket moved to avoid going long into brook. Awasiwi in the native Abnaki language means "beyond, farther, more, over". In the woods near the Awasiwi Trail, and on South Burlington School District property, this course is a collaboration between the Middle and High School, South Burlington Recreation and Parks and volunteers to bring you South Burlington's first disc golf course. It offers short distances, tight lines and a fun challenge. This is a temporary "object" course, with 9 white buckets on poles and 18 different tee pads, so each drive is a little different. We plan to install permanent baskets at the end of 2025. The regular course (which is a bit shorter) is marked with white flags. Long tees (marked with red flags) make the course challenging for veteran players. Please play the course a bunch as we refine the tee and basket locations before finalizing the permanent layout. This is where you come in….please play it as-is and provide feedback to us on what you think we should change/update/move. Email [email protected] with your suggestions. As this is on school district property, alcohol, smoking and vaping is not permitted. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Also, as it’s managed by volunteers, we ask that you keep the course clean and take any trash with you when you leave. If you can pack it in, you can pack it out. Make sure to check for people walking and biking before teeing off. Did we mention its tight? And short? Precision is the name of the game here. May your throws be easy and the trees be forever in your favor.
