@kevinjm3
Beautiful course, good shot design, fun to play. Extremely slippery and treacherous though, wear some good boots and watch your step
@discobisco
Great course! Short tees are manageable for intermediate/beginners. Definitely a woods course but most fairways are open enough to have a variety of shots that will work.
@heyturnontheac
Rubber tee pads get real slippery when wet
@roadto501
Bring all the plastic, you'll use them - and probably lose a couple too. Watch for bears!
@polishcannon
Great course! Difficult fairways but well maintained.
@generik10
Played here for the first time and was not disappointed. Front 9 has a lot of shorter holes and back 9 will really challenge you. I actually preferred the challenge of the back 9 and wish all 18 were like that! Good course overall 👍🏻
@hyoomac
Heavily wooded course with some amount of elevation change on just about every hole. Excellent “intermediate and above” challenge. There are short tees on almost all of the new back nine, and the long tees will put both length and accuracy to the test. The fairways on the new back nine are pretty rough. Lots of rocks make finding a stance difficult and runups often impossible. Not cart-friendly. Detailed review at dgcoursereview.com
@joeytota
All long tee pads are in place. Layouts are accurate and up to date. Signs posts installed with tee signs coming soon. Fairways are getting cleaned up more and more every day, but golfers should still wear proper footwear as there is rough terrain in the woods of Alvord. The course is playing great, and only getting better!
@discgolfphoenix
Alvord Park is a nice NW CT course. Signage is superb. Use UDisc gps to find next teepads. The longs on the back 9 are no joke! Watch your OB lines. Definitely NOT cart friendly. The rocky terrain and elevation will make an avid hiker proud. The views are spectacular. The local community shows they care a great deal about this course. They are doing everything right. (I really love 💕 the signage).
@r3ptar
Don’t use the coordinates in udisc of you’ll be hopping back on the highway
@benrich11
Fun course! Growing in a little bit + watch out for ticks! Otherwise, enjoy!
@cookehs
Front nine isn't bad, back nine will rough you up. Course could use some TLC, bit rough right now. But overall a pretty fun and interesting course.
@geffert3
Lot of blind shots. Front 9 is great back 9 layout is good but needs cleaning
@modemanabides
Tons of potential! The new back 9 is sick, just needs some foot traffic to beat in the fairways
@mikekurasz860
I love this course Aaron and the crew did an amazing job putting together an awesome course
@johnmbus
A classic New England wooded Disc Golf course. A great mix of holes, with so many different shot shapes.
@rymaxx
Fun course, nice signs but a lot of tall grass to easily lose discs in, back 9 is more advanced in skill level and even easier to lose discs in. Great to have this course in Torrington!!
@controlz
Fun wooded course with an AMBITIOUS BACK 9. Challenging in the bestest way. Bring some water
@iamfishman
Good front 9. The back 9 is terrible. Only play if you like losing discs while wading through high grass, lots of ticks and pricker bushes. Throws need to be perfect or you are playing from areas that will tear up your legs
