Fantastic, thoughtfully crafted and just technical enough to tickle my fancy. Excellent new course in central SD, just what we needed!

@pookaluke
Awesome new course

@hunterfenn3
The demand off of almost every teepad is sensational 👍🏼

@endermetal
It's difficult to rate a 9 basket course too high, but Altitude does a lot of things right: it's surprisingly technical, fun, and it's nicely manicured. However, multiple groups of 6+ disc golfers makes for a VERY slow round. Despite only first playing the course months after its grand opening, Altitude is still extremely busy, which I suppose is par for the course (pun not intended) in San Diego, but Altitude should consider taking a page out of Morley's book and institute tee times and limit group sizes to no more than 5 at a time. The course was surprisingly windy (maybe I just played it on an off day and it's not normally so windy), but be mindful to keep your shots low or extremely controlled on the handful of holes that play next to the airport, as you run the risk of your disc sailing over the fence. I did receive a text from the kind folks at the pro shop about the two discs I lost over the fence, so if you do throw over the fence, chances are it'll get retrieved later. I also find it a bit ironic that it's called Altitude because there's effectively zero elevation (I understand it's called Altitude in reference to the airport). IMO, this should be a 9 hole course. I personally didn't find teepads 10-18 to dramatically change how most holes play. And I think the trade off between a faster round or more holes to play is worth it, especially since you're effectively doubling up with folks playing holes 10-18 and switching off which group throws. However, I suppose the value proposition for most disc golfers is diminished with just 9 holes to play and it gets more difficult to justify the price ($6/round weekdays, $8/round weekends). Anyways, I'm glad I checked it out, but I probably won't be playing this course frequently unless and until there are either (1) tee times and group limits or, (2) it becomes less popular.

Good use of that space! Really fun course.

@hackysack619
Fun course they have a bar so that's cool

@mik066
Very fun little course around the hotel. Would be fun to stay here and play anytime I wanted. Good idea Circle One had to put more use to the surrounding dilapidated golf course!
@scottd084
Nice short course with 18 tees and 9 baskets. Was a ball golf par 3 on hotel grounds next to Montgomery Field airport. Good use of mature trees on grounds.

@mfrerichs
Nice job creating shot variety within a small space. Doesn't really feel like 18 holes, but it doesn't feel like playing the same 9 a second time, either. The pads on about half the holes have significant changes, and all have at least a little something different. Seems like it should cost a little less than Morley, but $6 on a weekday is not outrageous. If you play the sand traps as hazards like you should, there is a fair amount of challenge at the baskets. Grateful for another course in San Diego. Fun. Play it.

@tay90x
Great course good variation of holes short and long narrow and wide with some fun mandos. believe this course will get even better with adding tee times to coordinate the flow of players as the course gets a bit clogged since it’s a 9 hole course played as 18. Definitely a contender as a top place to play in SD.

@stinkeye78
There’s a hotel and bar right on premises. What’s not to love? Great tea pads and shot variety is amazing. Great new course in San Diego.

@maberardi
So nice to have another Disc Golf course out here in San Diego. It’s not bad for a double nine hole. It’s only gonna get better.

@bradenfoulke
Really well done job with the property - the small details in this course really shine ! Holes 4-8 are then 15-17 are phenomenal

@andfrai1974
Fun course and can’t wait to play regularly. Shop opens at 7am daily.

@cllcle
Great usage of the short distances where able. Solid amenities available, extremely easy to walk. Really tough to rate a 9-hole course highly due to logistics. Large groups of 4-5 should be told especially on a 9-hole course to let singles and duos play through if it is clear in front. Etiquette needs to be taught to keep traffic flowing.

@ruthie104615
Love the new course!

@justinharris2
Shot 11- im the dark, so fun

@janzach24
It is a great 9 hole course. Trying to play the back nine results in many backups, confusion and frustration. As a single party, I was not always invited to play through.

@jromney
A great addition to the San Diego courses. Demanding with plenty of low ceiling tight shots. Excited to play it again. Tomorrow...

@mattellis
Great 9 hole course with the space there is!
