About the course
This 15-hole course may not look like much at first glance, but it’s actually a great course for beginners and advanced golfers who may want to try out new discs or work on different types of shots. There are 5 baskets surrounding a soccer field with 3 tees for each basket. There is a good mix of holes ranging from 150 ft to 360 ft. There aren’t many obstacles other than a few trees and a baseball backstop, but somehow they still managed to provide a variety of different types of holes.
The course and tees are well-marked. You should have no trouble knowing where to go for the next tee. From the parking lot, the first 5 holes go around the field counter-clockwise. Then when you reach the lot again, the next 5 holes go around the field in the opposite direction. The last 5 holes kind of zig-zag back and forth. These are the longer holes. (You may want to make a note of which baskets go with which tees as you go around the first time because on holes 11-15 it’s sometimes hard to see the numbers on the baskets from the tee.)
There are no concrete tee pads but most are on pretty solid ground. A couple of the tees are awkwardly placed near trees that don’t leave much room for longer run-ups, but you can improvise. The distance to the basket and par are labeled on each tee.
The course is open pretty much anytime, however, during youth soccer season it may be unavailable during some weeknights and Saturday mornings. The course is on church property so please be respectful. There is a walking trail that goes around the field and also there are shaded picnic tables and benches if you decide to stop for lunch or take a break. There are no trash cans so plan to take any waste back home with you.
