About the course

Challenging in distance and angles, along with some tricky tunnel shots. Background on recent changes (Summer 2025): In 2023 the City of Stewartville started clearing buckthorn underbrush with goats. In 2024/25, they began wholesale mechanical clearing. After this removal, the original layout was too dense for safe play on busy days. The city agreed to move some tees and baskets to reduce risk on holes that no longer had buckthorn defining the fairways.

Elevation changes throughout and the woods has lots of debris, especially off main pathways. There are bridges for crossing the creek.

Not recommended for individuals with limited mobility

While there are bridges to get over the creek, there is not a sensible layout, nor any sequence of 3 or more holes that doesn't involve some elevation change. The terrain in the woods is currently rough with sticks and debris..

About 2/3 of this course is really pretty fun. And the other 1/3 is throwing in open fields.

Well maintained park course with mix of open and wooded holes. Signs are not the best and a couple spots are a bit confusing. Would like to see signs with hole maps added. Baskets are older but mostly fine. Pars are set at a more beginner level.
