There are over 15,000 disc golf courses in the world, and Canada is home to more of them than all but two other countries. Given the Great White North's vast and stunning landscapes, it's no surprise that many of those courses have made their way into disc golfer's daydreams.
Here you can find out which 50 Canadian disc golf courses have caught the attention of more players with UDisc, disc golf's #1 app, than any others. Check the rankings, see how we made them, and more below.

How Did You Make the List of the 50 Canadian Disc Golf Courses People Most Want to Play?
We ranked Candian courses based on how many disc golfers wishlisted them on UDisc Courses, the largest and most frequently updated disc golf course directory. Because we plan to update these rankings annually and want them to reflect which courses are the freshest additions to disc golfers' daydreams, we only included wishlist additions made within a year of the date we pulled the stats for this post in early October 2024.
How Does Wishlisting Disc Golf Courses in UDisc Work?
Every time you view a course on the UDisc app where you have no recorded rounds, you'll see the Add to Wishlist option to the right of the course rating. If you tap it, the course is then added to your wishlist. When you search for courses, you can filter by wishlist and see where the courses are in the world that have caught your eye.
You can also see a map of every course you've wishlisted when you...
- Open the UDisc app
- Tap the More tab
- Scroll to Discover
- Tap Courses played / wishlist
- Tap Wishlist near the top of your screen
If you're going on trips, this is a great way to see if any of your must-plays are anywhere near your destination (or if you end up with clusters in certain areas, a good way to plan your next trip). Once you play a course, your wish has been fulfilled, and it leaves your wishlist.
You can wishlist courses both in the app and in the online UDisc Courses directory. Online, just make sure you are logged in to your account.
Which Canadian Provinces and Territories Have the Most Disc Golf Courses People Dream of Playing?
Province or Territory | Disc Golf Courses in Top 50 Most Wishlisted: Canada | 2023 to 2024 Change in Course Total |
Ontario | 26 | ▲5 |
British Columbia | 13 | ▼4 |
Alberta | 8 | Same |
Prince Edward Island | 2 | ▼1 |
Quebec | 2 | Same |
Like in 2023, Canada's most populous province, Ontario, has by far the most courses on players' wishlists, with its tracks comprising over half of the top 50.
It's hard to say what's behind this domination. If it was related to population size, we'd expect Quebec – Canada's second-most populous province – to have many more courses in the top 50. And while the top three are in order by the number of courses they have, the percentages are nowhere near relative. Ontario has only about 11% more courses than British Columbia and only 23% more than Alberta, but its total of courses in Canada's top 50 wishlisted rankings doubles and more than doubles, respectively, those of B.C. and Alberta.
Some Things Worth Noticing About This Top 50
- Raptors keeps its perch at #1
The two heavyweights of great Canadian disc golf, Raptors Knoll in British Columbia and Hillcrest Farm on Prince Edward Island, claimed the #1 and #2 spots in the 2024 wishlist rankings – just like they did last year. Again, Raptors beat out Hillcrest even though the former lagged a bit behind the latter in the rankings of 2024's World's Best Disc Golf Courses. Raptors was wishlisted 33% more often than Hillcrest in 2024 whereas the difference was just a tad more than 15% in 2023. - A new course in the top five
The top four courses in the 2024 rankings of top wishlisted Canadian courses are not only the same as last year – they're in the exact same order. The course at #5, though, is not just new to its spot well up the list but new to these rankings altogether. The track is the Albion Albatross Course built on land managed by Toronto & Region Conservation Authority. It's an epic, championship-level facility that's resulted from the budding relationship between disc golf and Canadian conservation authorities that's been carefully nurtured by Canadian course design and building company ChainLink. - Disc golf taking over golf courses in winter
Two of the courses in this top 50 – Scarlett Woods and King's Forest – are only available to play during Canada's famously harsh winter season. Why? They're built on active ball golf faciities that close to their typical clientele during the colder months but have decided to make use of their ready-made fairways to welcome disc golfers instead.
What to Know Before Reading This Top 50
- Mobile and tablet users can swipe left/right on the table to see all columns.
- You can see photos, reviews, availability, and more of any course in the table by just tapping or clicking its name.
- The Canadian Wish Grade is based on how often a course was wishlisted in the UDisc app as compared to the #1 most wishlisted course in the country. Like a test graded on a curve, the #1 course has a score of 100 and the other courses' grades are based on how their wishlist totals measure up to that top mark.
- The Rating is the course's rating out of five stars based on the opinions of disc golfers with UDisc at the time we pulled these stats shortly before the publication date. Depending on when you read this, the course rating may be different in the directory than it is here.
- The layout difficulty rating symbols mean the following:
Easy
Moderate
Challenging
Very challenging
Click or tap to learn more about the UDisc course difficulty rating system. Courses with no symbols in this column either have not created Smart Layouts, which are needed for course difficulty ratings, or have Smart Layouts that haven't yet been played by enough unique players to receive a difficulty rating. - A green dollar sign ($) under "Fee?" means a course is a traditional pay-to-play.
- No dollar sign means a course is free to play as far as we know.
