Williston Disc Golf Course
Course location
Williston, Vermont
Headline
Beginners course with fairly straight and narrow fairways
Description
The 9-hole beginners course has fairly straight and narrow fairways, due to wetland areas around the course. The course is very wet after Winter thaw and into the Spring. Recommended not to play during this time to preserve the course. Holes are par 3 and there is an area in the beginning that is a warm-up tee, with a tee pad and three baskets set at 100’, 200’, and 300’ feet. Great place to practice throwing and putting. Tee pads are green synthetic turf. The course was created as an 8th-grade student challenge for the physical education classes at Williston Central School. The maintenance of the course was turned over to Williston Recreation & Parks. The course has gone through some changes to make the area safe for all users- disc golfers, walkers, bikers, etc.
