Hole 19
“The Tie Breaker” Often called the upside-down tree or Atari tree, this is used during tournaments when a tied score requires additional play.
Hole 1
1st tee box.
Hole 5
Uphill short onto a ledge formed from tree branches. Well protected by all the low hanging oak branches.
Stumpy is a short, uphill technical shot from the teepad in the background. It’s easy for shots to roll off the hillside into the vines (OB).
Other
World famous pyramid built from stone from other vineyard locations. Played from either 4 or 6 teepads, depending on course layout at the time.
Hole 6. Basket is down the hill, to the left of the big tree.
Hole 8 Teepad (12/24/20)
View looking back on Hole 17. Beautiful.
Hole 19
Tucked nicely away under an oak tree, putting on the shade is very welcome.
Beautiful view of the Vineyards!
Can't wait to return when all is green.
Hole 3a
Hawks and Eagles are commonly seen at Whale Rock. This shot has the barn in the background that is used with a hanging basket inside during the annual Wine Down tournament.
Hole 3
The sole location for this hole is a downhill shot from the teepad to the left of the vines in the background. Tricky due to the double mandos and low, hanging branches.
Hole 6
Throwing from the top of the hill to either the pyramid on the left or a basket to the right of the large oak tree. Just stay out of the vines!
Hole 14
World famous hanging basket. Teepad is behind the vines in the background, just to the left of the oak tree.
Hole 15
Downhill shot off this teepad requiring control to stay out of the vines to the left or bushes and players coming up the fairway to the right.
Hole 17
You can barely see the basket under the far oak tree. This hole is difficult to stay out of the vines for errant throws!
Hole 18
Another downhill throw with double mandos and lots of oak canopy. This is a crowded part of the course, so watch out for other players!
