History
The Greens was founded when Steven Hopkins pitched the idea of having a disc golf course at Outwater park to Phyllis Green. Mrs. Green an ex alder woman with lots of connections to the city of Lockport was enthusiastic about this idea. She told her constituents with the city, to find out they had funding that needed to be allocated. Steven then reached out to WNYDGC and spoke with Sam Castiglione. Sam was more than eager to help and committed his time and efforts not only with the course but also community. Steve and Sam then walked the park and began visualizing the layout and the flow of the course in a well used park. After walking the land with the mayor, aldermen along with the neighbors, approval was given. Steven and Sam set out to get the course designed and installed within the same year. With help from volunteers from WNYDGC the course was set to go. The course was fittingly called The Greens.
