Description
About the Course:
Welcome to the Northwest Branch Disc Golf Course! The 18-hole layout has two 9-hole loops, each of which begins and ends near a future plaza area. Each hole has two sets of teepads (Red and Blue) and most holes have multiple basket locations (on rotation).
The course opened in November 2025 and will remain open during construction of the new plaza. The plaza will serve as a gathering space for the course and will include paved walkways, a covered pavilion, picnic tables, benches, bike racks, a drinking fountain, and portable toilets. A practice basket will also be installed. Please follow all temporary signage during construction; Permanent welcome signage will be installed as part of the plaza. Visit MoCoParks.org/NWBDiscGolf for more information on the upcoming plaza project.
Parking and Access:
Please park in the main lot for the Trolley Museum and walk to the course. This is a shared parking lot. No parking is allowed in the grass areas directly adjacent to the course or blocking any museum access. During Trolley Museum special events, overflow parking will be available along the main entry driveway.

History
This course is Montgomery Parks’ first 18-hole course, constructed in 2025. Montgomery Parks planned for this disc golf course not only because players had been requesting one for years, but it is also recommended in the 2022 Parks Recreation and Open Space Plan (PROS) as a facility type that should be provided to county residents.
The National Capital Trolley Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates historic street cars, trolleys, and trams for the public. Montgomery Parks appreciates the partnership between the disc golf course and the museum. Please respect the museum property and consider stopping by for a visit.
