Bristows DGC is a great intermediate course. The course flow is well thought out and uses the property to the fullest extent. There is a good variety of shot design, and the distance requirements are great for beginner and intermediate level players. Most drives ask for 300'ish of controlled power on a line in the woods. Big arms will likely be discing down to a mid or putter for a lot of shots. Sure, the course will be better with teepads, but this course has the most important thing: it's fun to play. The approachability, challenge, and reward are balanced in a way that the player knows what each hole is asking for, yet delivering on it is still engaging.
