A very challenging and fun course, and all the hiking is rewarded with lots of incredible views.
Description
Originally installed for the 2001 Venetian Games, this beautiful course works your whole game with incredible views of Lake Michigan as one of the bonuses. There are short and long tee's on most holes with lots of elevation to contend with, and a good mix of longer and shorter holes ~ you're gonna need every shot in the bag for this course. We are still working on new tee signs - between vandals and the City itself, directional and tee signs have a way of going missing - so pay attention out there.
There are lots of hiking paths on the property, so please always be mindful of other park users, especially around the day camp and lodge areas during the summer camp season.
The first 4 holes have 2 baskets on each of them - a short and a long - with the hopes of adding baskets to most holes out there eventually.
Chain O' Lakes Disc Golf and the Charlevoix Disc Golf Club are working to keep improving the course and experience, and we've got 75% of the funds raised for all new tee and directional signs, with the goal of getting those all dialed for the 2026 season - Mt McSauba's 25th year!!
Bring water and snacks, and maybe bug spray in the heart of summer if it's really calm. Signage is a bit wonky in a few spots, and some holes are shown as "upside-down" so a bit confusing - all to be remedied for the 2026 season!
